Plus, I'm lazy and referring to BB56 is easy and BB'56 and bb56 are too close.

I'd fully support an "on line petition" to ask Eric to delete / change bigblue56 (I have nothing against bigblue56 or his posts, just his handle being too close to a really long time poster).

Big Blue is a nickname for the Giants.
