The thing about it, most football fans in Alabama couldn't give two shits about the Saints or any other NFL team. It's Bama or Auburn or they don't care. So they can paint the state gold for the Saints, but when I lived there I could count the number of Saints fans I knew on one hand.
the % breakdown of a team's support in various areas. In Berkshire County (Western) MA, for example, there are almost as many Giants' fans as there are Pats' fans. It would be really cool if that data could be calculated and made available.

Yup, the sharp lines between states and counties implies more contrast than actual, western MA and VT being good examples.
a while back someone did that kind of analysis of Connecticut
so Hawaii is for Pittsburgh. Seemed to be mostly west coast teams when I was there SD, SF, SEA.
I live in Hawaii. The most popular team would be the 49ers, followed by the Raiders and/or Chargers and now we have all the bandwagon Seattle fans running around in their brand new jerseys.
