Any BBIers planing on making the trip to Tampa on Nov. 8th?
I'm saving up $ right now to go. It's been way too long to see the Giants in person and my daughter (26) wants to go with me.I'll probably buy nose-bleed seats from StubHub. Should I wait until the last week or buy now?
I have a lot of questions about the trip. My car is quite old and I really don't want to risk driving there & back if not necessary. I found a bus from the Bucs website that will meet in Orlando (I-Drive) and go directly to the stadium. It's $50 pp. round trip.
I think a parking pass (if you could get one) sells for $40. I figure gas & pass is nearly the $100 needed for the bus ride.
If anyone has info on Raymond James Stadium or would like to meet up there for a BBI tailgate, please post up. Pretty sure Ben in Tampa said he'd be going and it's a lot of fun meeting fellow BBIers.
Look into it. You won't be disappointed.
Someone from Tampa needs to take charge of this as we get closer so we know where we all can hang out before the game.
This will be my first time back to Raymond James since the playoff game en route to the '07 SB.
ctc: I hope it's nothing serious and get better soon.
BigBlue in Keys: you really think that will be necessary for a 4:00 game in November?
PS: I was at Giants vs. Rams early October 2005. The day was so warm I actually did get a minor sunburn!
Everyone invited to join us. I'm just organizing it. Everyone bring what you need for yourself. But everyone bring an appetizer type that we can share. I'm open for any other suggestions. It's not a dictatorship! Let me know so we'll have an idea. friccio@cfl.rr.com
We do need a grill. I only have a big gas grill that I can't transport. I'm working on a charcoal one and will get a cheap one if necessary!
Other things ... chairs, tables, a canoapy/tent, radio, anything else?
Carl you may not need sunscreen but anyone coming from the North will/should need it.
Beer...I don't think the county allows liquor sales on Sundays so if you're coming in from out of town your need to get it prior to Sunday!
Mrvax...e-mail me friccio@cfl.rr.com.
I was going to start a thread once the game got closer but this is a good start.
I remember go to Grunnings-on-the-hill back in the day. Is it still there? there were 2 Grunnings (right?) one down in town (South Orange) and then one 'on the hill' up South Orange Ave.
Anything else?
It's almost right around the corner from the stadium.
