Nice story - LSU welcomes the Gamecocks to Baton Rouge

Greg from LI : 10/9/2015 6:18 pm
Tomorrow's game was supposed to be played in Columbia, but the flooding in SC forced them to move it to Tiger Stadium. LSU showed some outstanding sportsmanship:

The university flew the Gamecocks into Baton Rouge, La., with its own United Airlines charter plane and welcomed South Carolina with a barbecue lunch upon arrival on Friday.

LSU has done its best to make the Gamecocks feel at home this weekend after South Carolina was forced to move the game from Columbia, S.C,. to Baton Rouge after devastating floods ravaged the area last week.

More at the link. So many lousy stories in sports, so it's nice when there's one you can smile at.

I call bullshit...

You never smile.
Hopefully La'el Collins...

...didn't offer up a tossed salad as a side on the menu.
That's a great story

Clicking on the plane link early in the article also opens up an article giving a little more info. This is really nice to see. Nothing wrong with wanting to step on each others' necks on the field, but to be good sportsmen and good people off the gridiron. Like others here at BBI, I coach youth sports and preach and love the sportsmanship ideal. Good find, Greg.

Why don't you shut yer yap, pga?

Shouldn't you be concentrating on a huge night in sports?

What a juggernaut! Isles opening night followed by the Mets game 1? Congrats, my friend. Enjoy.

Hopefully some solace between those 2 tonight, after Aguero's hammy injury. Not what I wanted to see.

But yes, a banner night in the pganut household with blue and orange featuring prominently. Thanks, brocephus...love you, too.
He was in for what? 10 minutes?

After he just needed five? Fuckin hell. That's my big fear for this team. International duty. Just when they get their mojo back with a murder there's another break and an injury.
Netted five...

Not needed. Fuck ass tablet.
LSU fans are great

There had to be close to 10,000 at the Carrier Dome a couple weeks ago. They were so nice. SU kept it close into the fourth quarter and I had a blast talking smack with them.
