There's nothing wrong with what he said. He said he's a one year wonder "so far". Said he needs to continue to do it week in and week out. And he's exactly right.

But did he really say that Calvin Johnson has 3 guys on him? Come on now, lol.

It properly is accompanied by an extended period of non-performance. That's simply not the case here and there is insufficient data or time to acquire data.

So different from saying that he is still young in his career and needs to show it for a prolonged period to live up to the hype

and he has been a "wonder", but definition, he is a "One Year Wonder".

And politically polarizing discussion of the literal versus the idiomatic.

He's just saying OBJ has played 16 games in his career, and by virtue of that, you cannot (yet) consider him one of the top 3 WRs in the NFL. He's absolutely right. Maybe poor choice of words. But with all the hooting and hollering on that set, I think they were egging him on a lot.

That said, his comments on OBJ do not bother me. Beckham has not made the big plays as often this year. Yet. With his talent level they are bound to come. I like OBJ's passion but talk is cheap. He should use that passion to help him focus on silencing has-beens like Cromartie.

Exactly. I think his definition of "one year wonder" is off. One year wonder, to me, implies someone who was good for a year and then fell off. The implication there is that there were several years of bad play and 1 good year.

I think Cromartie just meant he's only been in the league 1 year, basically, and you can't put him up there with people who have been good year-in and year-out. Seems fair to me, although I think Beckham will prove to be one of those people based on the 16 games or so I've seen.
