Dude, what is your beef with the Cubs? During the wildcard game every other post from you was they are going to choke.
You failed to mention the ridiculous strike zone tonight that Lackey got compared to Lester, where even the commentators were noting he was getting calls a foot off the plate. Otherwise the Cubs continued the poor hitting from the other night - Bryant and Rizzo have been terrible through two games.

Bobby, you're right. I've been pretty harsh. I actually am pulling for the Cubs, though my posts last night sure as hell didn't indicate as much. I guess I'm just frustrated they didn't look too good. Hopefully for your sake, as well as my cousins in Oak Park, IL, Hendricks brings his A game. They need offense to do something.
great series, albeit today's game took nearly 4 hours to get through 9 innings.
One thing i'm scratching my head about is why the #1 seed in the NL is facing a 97 win Cubs team when the other division winners won 92 and 90 games, respectively. Now maybe the Cards would prefer the weakest starting pitching staff of the remaining NL playoff teams and the team that used its ace in the wild card game... but its still odd. They should get a choice IMO of facing the Mets or Cubs this round.

MLB considers this season to be an anomaly, as last year's wildcard teams won abour 10 fewer games.
but it would be like having the Yankees & Red Sox meet in the first round earlier this century. Doesnt make much sense, even with Arrieta having been used just before start of series.
was hoping for the Cards should the Mets advance. That Cubs' lineup is just so strong, and in the playoffs with days off the disparities in SP depth are more manageable.
RE: First time the Cubs have won a playoff series at Wrigley?
How many times will Arrieta pitch to save the Cubs?
Cards in 6

They just know each other too well and Arrieta will get to pitch in the pivotal game 3?
be careful, you know what Back to the Future said about the Cubs and 2015

Well I think that from 1945 until today, they had one a single playoff series.
