Gotta give credit to a BBI whipping boy

Greg from LI : 10/12/2015 12:05 am
Donnell made a terrific catch to win this one. As Collinsworth noted, any slight bobble would have negated the TD, but he held it firm. Great job.
fantastic catch

BBI Whipping Boys....

are contributing quite a bit to our season thus far. Donnell, Hosely, Randle.

Except for Kuhn - he still sucks ;).
yep

I might hold my breath every time he has the ball in his hands because of tendency to flip and fumble, but Donnell has good hands and a huge catch radius and is a guy I trust as a Red-Zone threat.

Clutch clutch clutch catch

yep I've been riding him for weeks
Stu11 : 10/12/2015 12:10 am : link
but the guy came through in a huge spot. Have to be fair and give him props. This is a what have you done for me lately league though. He needs to be consistent and step up next week especially seeing as good knows what we have available int he receiving corps going into Philly.
That was a great catch. Great concentration.

I hope you're banned. You're not funny at all. And you're annoying probably 99% of the people here.
That was the closest thing to a Tyree catch
Ten Ton Hammer : 10/12/2015 12:10 am : link
I've seen since the Tyree catch. He pinned that against his helmet.

Of course we did not get to see

the somersault this time. That is more of an open field move.

Yes he was rough tonight, but the guy he was blocking is supposed to be great.

Eli was not sacked tonight and once last week.
Wasn't gidie a normal dude at one point?

What a funny skit it would be
mattlawson : 10/12/2015 12:17 am : link
to have Tyree coaching up the WRs and TEs about how to pin the ball on the helmet during practices before tonight. then Donnell get the call from Eli, camera pans to Tyree on the sideline, clutches his head, the highlight reel rolls with Donnell making the catch.

Shit writes itself.
Despite his flaws (many) ....
Manny in CA : 10/12/2015 12:18 am : link

He's not annoying me.
I called Larry soft before...
SHO'NUFF : 10/12/2015 1:51 am : link
but he was all man tonight. Great job, LD!
I have been
NJGiantFan84 : 10/12/2015 2:03 am : link
More positive on LD than most, but when he caught that ball I didnt even celebrate because I thiught for sure it was bobbled or moved. And not because it was LD, i dont think many receivers can catch a ball like that without some movement as they go to the ground.

It was a play of will. He willed that ball to stay still. Spectacular.
Thankfully, despite mistakes, some egregious at times,
Big Blue '56 : 10/12/2015 8:18 am : link
this regime really knows what it's doing..They know their players and why they don't necessarily make the moves we want at times, imv
Overall I thought Donnell looked a lot better on his catches.
jsuds : 10/12/2015 8:21 am : link
He was actually falling forward into the open space for those few extra yards instead of turning his usual somersaults. Maybe he is starting to get it. And yeah, the TD catch was as clutch as they come.

He's a good RZ target because he there's no chance for him to fumble down there!
What made me nervous,
Doomster : 10/12/2015 8:24 am : link
was the fact that he held that ball out there, exposed, and neither defender took a swipe at it....

Which begs the question.....would they call it incomplete, even though he had control on the way to the ground, if the defender swiped at it and knocked it out of his hands, as he laid there?
Another whipping boy..

THE whipping boy is Kuhn on BBI.

Ball can move slightly as long as the player maintains possessions throughout the catch.
Look at the replay, the Ref is only several feet from Donnell
Jimmy Googs : 10/12/2015 10:18 am : link
watching him fall to the ground with a perfect view of the play.

Good throw, great catch and the Ref with the right call.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one. Herzlich remains awful.
For the role..
FatMan in Charlotte : 10/12/2015 11:00 am : link
he was in for, Herzlich made several nice stops and he wasn't exposed in coverage.

I'm not impressed with his career body of work, but last night, he played well and actually was in on at least two critical 3rd down stops.

AP in Halfmoon : 10/12/2015 11:04 am : link
Are you talking about last night? He was outstanding. He held the edge on all but a couple of plays and tackled well overall.
