Anyone else agree, that the 1st 5 games this year haven't been great from a matchup standpoint for Damontre? His strength isn't matching up against the ground and pound teams...and we've faced 4 of them in the 1st 5 games, with the exception of Atlanta. I would expect to see more of him this week against Philly...and in upcoming games against New Orleans, New England. He got the 2 sacks this past week which is great....I'm hoping we start to see more of it.
Thoughts?
2) Does he look manly in salmon.
I agree he should be used more given his speed and pass rush ability but I just hold my breath, as I have a feeling he's going to cost us 15 yards in a bad spot.
I think the fact Owa has seen significant playing time the last 2 weeks, despite missing part of preseason and the first 3 games due to injury, speaks volumes about the staff's opinion of Moore.

Not to mention his penchant for celebrating every positive play he makes. I just think that this reflects poorly on what his focus should be. There's still a bit of immaturity that I get from his play. I know that he plays with energy, which can be a positive thing, but I think it's also what causes him to play with a lack of discipline. He's always diving for late hits on the runner or on the QB or overcommitting to the pass rush and then losing outside contain responsibilities.
Jerry got mine about 3 years ago.
He's also an undisciplined, immature kid who repeats mental mistakes. Combine that with the inability to consistently play run, it earns the penalty machine a seat on the bench.

So basically, another square peg in a round hole. Hopefully, the last.
Eric, why more against Phila? They are a run heavy team, with 2 very good OTs. I would think Phila would run right at Moore every time he is in the game, unless for some reason they are behind by multiple TDs.
Moore is a role player....nothing else at this point. There is a use for him as a speed rusher on 3rd & long or late in games when protecting a lead.

Moore plays better standing up and in space, he generally does a good job finding the football and closing on the carrier. Those skills are more like a 3-4 OLB role where he excelled at A&M. He's inconsistent on the line where he's forced to play run first, he's easily engulfed by OL and doesn't disengage well. He wears down, remember TC indicated Moore's weight plunged 20-30 lbs over the course of the 2014 season.

As a football player, Moore reminds me too much of Jaquain (sp?) Williams. Too raw, college production didn't project well to a pro 4-3, etc.

I was thinking the same shit.. He has to take it down a notch. Or TC will be forced to bench him

In other words, he's close to being declared another draft bust. :-)

Dead on
Spags needs to bring him off the edge. Even up the AGap.
