But, that was not a sure INT for Collins. He extended his arms and the ball went off his finger tips. It was a good play to knock the ball away, but not a sure INT by any stretch.
the RBs contribution in the passing game. Not only Vereen, but Jennings. While they have foregone the run a lot, they have been both checking down and using designed pass plays to RBs in lieu of rushing the football. This has been quite effective.
The inability of the Giants runners to break long gains when the OL opens up large holes has been frustrating (where have you gone, David Wilson?). I don't think we've really seen Spags Defense 2.0 with all the injuries.
Minor typo in the second paragraph of the Game Overview section (site versus sight):

That all said, we should not lose site of some negatives.
The long passes to Boldin the DB actually had good coverage. They were very good passes to a WR who does not drop passes
Prince & DRC are playing really, really well - it would really be nice to see them with some sort of pass rush
Landon Collins by year end will be the best S in the NFC East
It is amazing how much better the protection is up the middle. I get why they there was hesitation to put a R C in front of Eli last year, but 5 games of Richburg has been light years better than anything Walton provided
Todays NFL you must have backs who can catch the ball and make plays- the Giants have 2
Like many teams they have ability and equal amount of questions.
Does he really think anyone will agree with his assertion Donnell didn't have control. Tell you what, back in the day before instant replay has changed the way completions are interpreted, if he had caught the ball in the endzone as he did, fell on his ass in the endzone as he did, then went out of bounds as he did the referee would have signaled touchdown no matter what happened once he was out of bounds. Back in the day once you were out of bounds what mattered was what occurred in bounds. Once you were out of bounds the clock stopped and play stopped.
None of the matters in this case because the rules are what they are anymore which some of them are so stupid. You either caught it or you didn't. Back in the day there was no such thing as having to make a football move. Anyway if Donnell didn't have control of the fucking ball on that play as was so fucking obvious then the earth really is as flat as this assholes fucking head.

Absolutely! It was caught and controlled before he holled back anyways! Did you notice that he says in there that Prince Always gets beat deep on every play that goes deep?
I much prefer this style of review. Joey is trying too hard to be funny and the first 3 paragraphs are usually unreadable as a result for me. He writes a heck of a good review otherwise, just could live without the attempt at humor. Thanks Eric!
RE: according to NYGunderground Donnell didnt catch that ball
So i read a blog today from one of the biggest trolls ive seen mascarading as a Giants fan...check it out...thoughts? NYGunderground has nothing but trolls - ( New Window )

If the site is shit, why would you drive traffic to it?

JFIB, thanks for the feedback. I think Joey's writing is more entertaining and thus more likely to be read. Mine is more like a boring history book. :(

There is nothing wrong with your Sgt. Joe Friday style of writing.
- by comparing Eli to Forrest Gump you are kind of mocking him just like Deion playfully mocks Eli (and I've heard Deion effusively praise Eli genuinely on many highlight reviews)
- there is some inherent criticism of randle odell and cruz "hanging out" and "moping"....I don't think that's fair at all - cruz was standing up all game nervously watching his teammates. odell was going crazy on the sidelines after his injury trying to get the crowd to make some noise to support the defense. and he went back in the game and drew the PI penalty and when donnell scored the TD was the first one over in the celebration. when you have a hamstring injury, it's not a good idea to be standing up near the sidelines.
I love Eli, but he is a doofus. It's OK if we call him that, but not others. ;)
I'm still old school. Game on the line...Randle and Odell should have been in the game. Randle said he was going to come back into the game and Odell eventually did.
Phil McConkey or Mark Bavaro wouldn't have been sitting on the sidelines.
Randle is a known moper so I get that but OBJ loves the game and loves winning so it was probably killing him not being out there for those first few plays.
Eli's TD throw to Donnell was unreal. He literally threw it over the head of the DB Bowman. Seemed like a very low percentage attempt. Then Donnell made the crazy catch. It's amazing when it all works out.

He's at least sincere in the link ODB posted. I think overall he's been a fan of Eli.
