Eli had two lucky passes and a two great defenses that's why they won the superbowl...You start brining up facts about worst running team, 30th rank defense they ignore you.
nobody outside of Jimmy Kempski's family is going to ever remember he was here. They will still be talking about the things Eli did on the football field
the announcers commented that the Giants led the NFL in drops. Good to know that Eli is lucky because Donnell made a catch that many professional receivers should make.
who said luck happens when preparation meets opportunity...
But since it's the Eagles, I'd rather just laugh at them and remind them the last time they won an NFL championship was during the Eisenhower Administration
have rained on a lot of our parades. Hoping this group TC, McAdoo and Spagnuolo can get past these next two games huge NFC East games. One more playoff run for TC and ELI and they will be quiet forever. Bring it.
even hurt, if Beckham wasn't held and interfered with (2 different infractions), that was TD.
Plus, I never thought that intentional grounding was even close on the play in question. Vereen was coming back to the area and Manning drifted outside the RT anyway.
That a guy like Eli, who doesn't talk trash or acts arrogant gets so disrespected. No one gives him credit. All people do is count all the times he "Got lucky". Here is a list of "Luck" that other qbs got that if it was eli, it would be mentioned forever.
fail Mary & batted ball no call- Russel Wilson
Tuck rule & Malcom butler int -Brady
Giants blowing a 21 point 4Q lead that gave packers a tie breaker to make playoff plus cutler getting hurt in championship game to eventually win a superbowl - Rogers
Payton sitting out second half and bengals playing back ups for jets to make the playoffs and go on a run - Jets
Bullshit rushing TD in the superbowl - Big Ben.

Even the announcers (Collinsworth...who I believe is one of the better analysts if not so much an announcer) talked about how that would rarely if ever be called intentional grounding. So yeah, sure it should have been called.

ELI has been victimized statistically by receivers drops. poor route running and poor OL play for the past 5years (GM failure). Never has been his fault. Best and most talented QB in Giant history IMO

Ok...yeah. News flash, the 2007 Giants D was good, not great. Get a grip what great means.
The 2011 defense was decent........
Giants won those SBs as a team, but Eli was right in the middle of everything.
you're sending out Dwayne Harris, Miles White, and Geremy Davis in your 3WR package with a minute left to play to try and win the game, the natural reaction is to say that the QB is so lucky to deserve his own scale.
show on Monday morning for the first time in years, and predictably, Bayless was once again discounting Eli's performance as "lucky" vs the 49ers. His presence is not unlike The Situation on Jersey Shore, where the producers just have him there to play the troll who everyone tunes in to hate.

of luck: preparation + timing. That's how you make your own luck, be prepared for anything and when the opportunity presents itself you take the shot. Eli doesn't shy away from taking chances, hence why always seems to throw dumb ints. Honestly its given us 2 rings and some great memories. The storylines will live longer than any us.

Douche.
That's what Eagles fans say not me. And the Defense in 2011 sucked, they were good in the post season but Eli carried that team on his back.
but I still can't believe they didn't call intentional grounding there.
Intentional grounding is the most annoying penalty in football.
It's called way less than it needs to be while ticky tack interference, illegal contact and incidental helmet to helmet are called way too much.
Brady's intentional grounding safety in SB46 was the most bizarre grounding call I've ever seen. Technically correct, but so uncharacteristic of how the league calls it.
Either get rid of the penalty or start enforcing the hell out of it. It's already hard enough to get to the damn QB to begin with.
I would love to read the performance reviews of people
But the refs also missed an obvious hands to the face vs. Pugh on the near interception on that drive.

I think it's lucky 31 times if you include the post season.

just to name a few.
Hey...even a retarded squirrel finds a nut...or 27 nuts...wait. That's one damn lucky squirrel.

Not really since he had to get around the DE nd RT to get the pass off and then it only had to reach the LOS...

You can block down field after the pass has been caught. Your confusing that with blocking downfield before a screen or regular pass is thrown.
Where to begin....

The Eagles are very close to a Super Bowl Trophy ...
Just about 90 miles to their north ...
