Anyone have any word if we brought in some guys for tryouts. I'd like to see us continue to bring in TEs & WRs. Depth is needed at both positions. I'm shocked Welker hasn't been signed yet.
And I was encouraged by the play of Harris, Davis and Tye on Sunday night. The only question mark was White, who deserves another game or two before he's run out of town.
They had Welker in for one workout, Tom's response on the results were lukewarm at best and the local media ran with it like it was a foregone conclusion.

how likely would anyone we sign at WR really see the field against Philly? Like it or not, the bottom of the roster guys might be getting some play on Monday.
I hate to keep harping on the Welker thing but even at 34 and losing a step, Welker is better than our bottom 3 WRs by a mile and would be a better option than anyone we try out tomorrow. Welker had over 40 receptions and 400 yards last year as a #4 receiving option and after losing a step. Harris,Davis and White couldn't give you that combined.
We can't go into a game with our 4th and 5th guys getting sigfnicant time especially since these guys aren't exactl world beaters.
If we sign guys off the street wouldn't that be our 6th and 7th guys? That's worse, even, than our 4th and 5th I think.
