Is he the most unlikable player to ever wear a Giants. He's right up there with CC Brown and Ian Allen. Difference is we didn't waste a 3rd round pick on those guys.;
use him as trade bait in the draft next year to move up in the second or third round. He's still on his rookie contract, so the cap hit for trading him would be minimal. And somebody might think they can resurrect him. Reclamation projects are very common in the NFL.
with being one of the dumbest football players ever to wear blue. I'd cut him tomorrow. Send a message to this bunch of losers that stupid on top of underperformance won't be tolerated.
Sure, do your little dance when you get a big sack when we are winning. But when you have directly contributed to the ass-kicking we are receiving, save that bullshit. He just looks like a fucking jackass out there, especially when he is dancing as the ref is announcing the penalty on the defense.
He's that bad. The guy is a big time bust. You expect a 3rd round pick to be at least a competent back up. This guy can't rush the passer, is absolutely horrible against the run, and he's a moron to boot. He has a Washed up DT in Jenkins starting over him, that tells you all you need to know about Moore.
Has talent. He needs to be coached to play with discipline.
It's too late for that. He's been in the league for three years. You can't make someone more mature. He is a perpetual child with no discipline. He's also a one dimensional player at best, who gets swallowed up in the run game. He needs to go.
Use him as trade bait?? LMAO. What has Moore ever shown to even suggest he's a competent back up.
I'm not saying it would work, but somebody might think they can get something out of him. Maybe not, but I'd at least try. He might be someone who could allow you to move up a little on day two.

I don't think he's any good and I think he's an absolute idiot.
I just think you're forgetting a fuck ton of loathsome players on this team over the years because you're really mad at this stupid fuck right now (not that I blame you on that front).
The guy was a 3rd round pick. A 3rd round pick is a premium pick. I hate when we waste a draft pick on a guy that has no excuse for being a complete FAILURE. He hasn't had an injury, he hasn't had superior players blocking his paths, he has no excuse. Just a complete BUST.
Trade him get what you can. Only a fool concentrates on dancing instead of keeping your mindset on the next play. One way or another he wouldn't be part of this team after tomorrow.
They've had plenty of second and even first rounder flops in their Â
history. They've had plenty of those flops do badly timed celebrations or commit stupid penalties or cost them critical plays. Not touching an off field loathsome shit guys have done.
What's the difference between Marvin Austin (R2) and Moore, really? Except how Moore has actually managed to get on the field more often as a Giant to at least attempt to contribute?

Different type of "busts". Austin was constantly hurt and/or ducked. Moore has generally been healthy and has the talent to at least be a serviceable pass rusher, but is a complete moron and a liability due to his stupidity.

Marvin Austin was a 1st round talent who had a major injury his senior year at UNC and he most 90% of that season. We took a chance on him in the 2nd round and he tore his pectoral muscle in the preseason of his rookies season. Austin was a bust at least he has an injury excuse.

Austin didn't play his final year of college because he was suspended. Not injury.
And he looked like shit even when he was healthy enough to practice/play. He was an awful player for the Giants, taken with a higher pick (R2 vs R3() that couldn't stay healthy to even try to contribute.
He's a moron. I don't think I've ever seen a dumber player Â
You're right that Austin was suspended for his senior year. He was a top 10 talent that we gambler on and got burned. Moore has the talent to be a good pass rusher, but his lack of maturity has stunted his growth.
I can't. I can recall a very good game by Larry Donnell. I can recall a very good game by Preston Parker. Markus Kuhn hasn't played any great games, but he doesn't actively hurt the team by committing dumb penalties EVERY week.
Moore doesn't pass rush so well that you can ignore his horrendous run defense. He needs to be cut. He simply does not deserve to wear this uniform anymore.
Had a sack and would have had two if not for a penalty. Ayers/ Is he ever playing again. OO and Wynn don't put on any pressure so yeah, Moore might be our best pass rusher. Without having any stats handy, who is leading the Giants in sacks?

We can't afford to cut him because the DE position, specifically the pass rushing aspect, is already in shambles. On another Giants team this would be addition by subtraction. Unfortunately I dont think this is the case this time around.
Honestly, I think it was just part of me just having poor football IQ, and not (being) aware of the rules of dumping [Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford]," Moore said.
Honestly, I think it was just part of me just having poor football IQ, and not (being) aware of the rules of dumping [Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford]," Moore said.
Is that an actual quote by moore or a sarc quote made by you.. If former, holy molly.
“Honestly, I think it was just part of me just having poor football IQ and not being aware of the rules of dumping him, because I dumped him,” Moore said. “But honestly, I was really trying to make a play and be a high energy guy. I’m going out there and I’m trying to run from sideline to sideline and hit somebody as hard as I can. There’s no excuse. Like I said, I’ve got to get my football IQ and awareness up and get a better understanding for the rules, so I can eliminate these penalties.”
that Moore, a professional defensive end was unaware of the roughing the passer rule. I'm not buying it. I'd have more respect for him if he just said "I fucked up."
Moore should have been cut during the Colts game last year Â
that Moore, a professional defensive end was unaware of the roughing the passer rule. I'm not buying it. I'd have more respect for him if he just said "I fucked up."
And thats the thing. He is sort of kind of accepting blame but also sort of kind of deflecting. He is still immature.
I agree with Terps. And its not just an emotional response to last nights game. I would trade him now while he is still worth something. I don't care if he's the best pass rusher they have. He's an idiot, just like JPP is an idiot. I don't want either of them on this team anymore.
He was the only player on the team other than Whitlock to get some consistent pressure on the QB.
He was the only Giants sack this game and he should have had second if not for a penalty.
He was playing sideline to sideline and hustling his ass off which led to that one fumble recovery.
He led the defensive line in tackles.
BUT his penalty was a boneheaded play that flipped the momentum of the game. A total back breaker. On top of that he did his stupid dance when we were getting blown out and he looked like a moron in the process.
Overall a frustrating game from the team and especially from Damontre. I'm actually going to take more positive from this performance and hope that he starts to mature. Let's remember he's only 23. But if I'm the coaching staff he's one moronic penalty away from riding the pine.
Is a prime example of why players today don't understand they are being paid to make tackles not do the dance. The NCAA calls a penalty on players for doing that yet these NFL players all can't seem to remember that. He make another terrible play with the slam and was involved in the running into the kicker but the kid has talent.
The questions that everyone wants to know is he just stupid or thinks he is on dancing with the stars. However he is not the only player who finds dancing on the field more important than the game.
RE: He's the most talented pass rusher on the team Â
Has talent. He needs to be coached to play with discipline.
Oh come on. I agree he has talent, but he has shown zero capability to be coached. You don't think the coaches have drilled into him to be more disciplined? The PF was one of the dumbest football plays I have ever seen. The PF would have been called even if Bradford still had the ball!
I'm not sticking up for the coaching staff after last night's disaster - these types of losses have happened far too often during TC's tenure; yes, even during the SB years - but sometimes you have to put the blame on the player. And the blame is squarely on Moore.
some plays at the end of last week game to preserve the victory. I am not saying he is a great player but that says a little bit about the Giants lack of pass rush from anyone not named Whitlock or Moore.
RE: He's the most talented pass rusher on the team Â
the Giants aren't good enough to cut him and frankly they shouldn't.
You really are an idiot. Your contrarian act is fucking tired. Going against the grain every now and then is fine, but you try to pull it off all the time, and that just shows how dim you are.
Moore just isn't that good. Yeah, he can rush the passer a bit, but he's brutally bad against the run, and you can't put a guy on the field who is going to get penalized all the time.
is this, does Moore have enough raw talent to justify stupidity and brain farts? That is, is the 6 games under Spags enough to make a reasoned decision or do the Giants (patient as they usually are) give him this year(and possibly next) to grow up, to get it?
Not disagreeing at all..I'm merely asking if 6 weeks under Spags, the reputed good teacher, enough to fully evaluate the guy? Or, are you and others of the mindset that it doesn't matter who the "teacher," who the DC is?
What little he gives you on pass rush, doesn't make-up for his stupidity. Now he's claiming he needs to better understand the rules! There are guys on this team who don't have his athletic talent, but they work hard to know their assignment, hustle during the game, and yeah learn the rules. It's just not fair to the rest of the team. He needs to be cut.
RE: RE: It's three or four years of the same sht*t Â

The problem is two-fold (IMO):
1. Moore is dumb as rocks and doesn't learn from his mistakes
2. The rest of the Giants D isn't talented enough to overcome his "overaggressiveness". He could be a valuable component on a team like Seattle that highly values the aggressive/borderline dirty play. But the Giants D doesn't have the horses to constantly give away yardage/1st downs.
He's bad against the run, and doesn't do the other tasks that are asked of a DE. That is why he doesn't play much. Add to that he does a dance when we are down by 24 pts, or when he gets a penalty, just because he personally gets a sack, and he's really a non-factor for this team.
It's too late for that. He's been in the league for three years. You can't make someone more mature. He is a perpetual child with no discipline. He's also a one dimensional player at best, who gets swallowed up in the run game. He needs to go.
I hate him
I'm not saying it would work, but somebody might think they can get something out of him. Maybe not, but I'd at least try. He might be someone who could allow you to move up a little on day two.
This is his 3rd year .... the light should have gone on by now.
I don't think he's any good and I think he's an absolute idiot.
I just think you're forgetting a fuck ton of loathsome players on this team over the years because you're really mad at this stupid fuck right now (not that I blame you on that front).
solid dance though when we were down double digits.
i think the saying is usually hundred dollar talent with a 5 cent brain?
this guy is a 10 cent talent with a 3 cent brain.
There is no hope in teaching him discipline. He's a fucking loser.
What's the difference between Marvin Austin (R2) and Moore, really? Except how Moore has actually managed to get on the field more often as a Giant to at least attempt to contribute?
both extended drives that led to philly points...
he just plays way too out of control and doesn't seem to have any awareness of situations

Thanks for the laugh, bruh.
Nice return on investment for a 3rd round player.
Cut his ass.

Watching him celebrate after his previous stupidity cost the team... I mean this fucking idiot is just never going to get it.
Moore doesn't pass rush so well that you can ignore his horrendous run defense. He needs to be cut. He simply does not deserve to wear this uniform anymore.
The guy who chalks the sidelines.
Ayers can't come back soon enough.
Oh where, oh where have our defensive ends gone ?
No LBs and now no DEs. Sad state of Giants defense.
Is that an actual quote by moore or a sarc quote made by you.. If former, holy molly.
I'm a moron - ( New Window )
Just sounds like an excuse to me, and yet another sign of immaturity.
To be honest, I don't think he really gives a shit.
Cut him, trade him, whatever. Just an awful player.

He's not that great a pass rusher. Give me a break. The clown needs to go.
He doesn't get it, and he won't get it.
I can't wait until Moore is gone.

And he should be gone today. Sometimes you have to send a message, play with discipline or your job, even your roster spot, is in jeopardy.
Have you ever heard a player say "I have a low football IQ"
in all your history of watching football?
That was his answer for the PF.
God I hated that shit. Jones was horrid and his dance after jumping on a pile like he did something, was idiotic

Donnell's okay as a 3rd TE - gotta figure out who would be #2
But, I'd wager there's no change coming until Beatty is ready.
No sense either.
Scents? No, he just stinks.
He leads the team in sacks.
