I must be 10 years older due to all the stress on the heart! They never make it easy. Thank goodness for Harris and Specials in this one. D was horrendous most of the game, but got turnovers which is about all we can ask of them right now. Passing offense appears out of synch and rhythm. Running game was better, against a tough Dallas D, but was effective enough.
More importantly, pile up those losses for the Cowboys while Romo and Dez are down. The highlight was the Dez/Hardy confrontation - one pile of shit trying to out-pile of shit the other.
We just beat the Cowboys and are currently first place in our division. Offense needs work but man I just can't help but have a huge smile on my face right now. Enjoy the win, diagnose the problems tomorrow.
They had a chance to beat the Cowboys by 14 there at the end and they
for another week, and i don't ave to start looking at draft yet.
But, seriously, if this Offense doesn't get it together next week, there are some serious issues. They have so much money and talent invested in this offense, 1 TD is not going to cut it.
more Kuhn and no Darkwa until now...what the fuck are they seeing in practice and on game film? the run defense has been shit each time Kuhn suits up.
RB's are somewhat understandable in that they've been pretty consistent in that if the RB doesn't show a decent understanding of blitz pick up then they generally don't play.
We don't know if Darkwa struggles in the classroom and practice when it comes to protection assignments.
Kuhn, I'm not as down on as most, although I don't think he's even particularly passable. Looking at the all 22 he does do a job in tying up two offensive linemen, but he just doesn't do a particularly effective or consistent job at it. He's eating up blocks but he's doing it two yards of the los.

to Odell Beckham. Second week in a row he was held in check - to the point where Eli wasn't even bothering to target him.
I think they're just shifting a bit of coverage on him early in the route. We're not holding onto the ball for very long so if he's not open straight away the ball isn't going there.
place in our division again. Now lets see the Panthers help us out tonight. We may have found a diamond in the rough with Darkwa. Can he block and catch too? Any win in the NFC East is a great win.
to play another week as someone said on the game thread, but this team has major problems. We obviously can't count on pick sixes and KO returns for TDs every week.
Predictable play calling, especially the series just before the Beasley fumbled punt. Also the series after Darkwa scored, we gave it to him on the first and second down, when play action might have been more effective.
Bad OL play, especially from Schwartz and Newhouse.
No long pass plays, although RR did drop that forty yard pass. But typically we need ten or twelve plays to even get into scoring position.
Does anybody remember when Butler (I think it was Butler) intercepted Romo in the end zone (IN THE LAST SECONDS) to propel the Giants to the NFC Conference Championship against Green Bay ...and then onto a SB Victory?
Who cares what it looked like ..???
A WIN IS A WIN IS A WIN !!! And, they are all important!
RE: RE: They had a chance to beat the Cowboys by 14 there at the end and they
A real relief to win this game, but we got one coverage sack today, and virtually no pressure on Cassel. That's gonna be our season-long achilles heel.
Return game has been improving each week, which is nice. And Brad Wing may turn out to be a great punter for us for a long time. But something needs to be addressed with the kickoffs - today Dallas' average starting field position was at the 26 yard line. I don't understand why Brown doesn't consistently kick it deep to prevent a return.
I hope Beatty comes back soon. The o-line is killing the offense.
He's not going to help Schwartz though. Newhouse, for the most part has not been a major problem on the right. He's had some issues, but Schwartz is killing them on that side and now inside. The Giantsbwere supposed to have had one of the better interior lines in the league, but Schwartz has been abysmal the past few weeks!
by your own admission the Giants stink......yet they find a way to beat a team they haven't beaten in 5 tries, they win in with the defense and special teams making plays...yes the special teams.......and your bitching
would you be happier if this stinky team had lost and was now looking at pretty much meaningless games for the next two months.
It's the Giants, first place...game to look forward to next week, a relevant game. Get guys back...get better, get into the play offs with a chance
I'll gladly take 4-3 even if they have not looked great.
2011 Giants looked like crap for much of the season as well. Prince, Crux and Beatty come back. OBJ and Randle get healthier. You never know what is going to happen.
227 yards rushing for the Boys (5.7 avg.) and 38 minutes time of possession for the Boys. I certainly will take it. We made more big plays, that's how it works sometimes!
No matter how it is achieved. I have a question for those who say that we can't rush the passer? Do you think our guys up front are any better against the run? BTW,IMO,Kuhn is the worst starting defensive tackle I've seen in my 50+ years of following this team. I am just trying to figure out is if Kuhn is worse at his position or Hosley at his? What do you guys think?
A real relief to win this game, but we got one coverage sack today, and virtually no pressure on Cassel. That's gonna be our season-long achilles heel.
Certainly our pass rush stinks pretty much, but that's your take home after this game?
I don't think we would have stopped their rushing attack even if we replaced Kuhn with a Panzer IV...
We Beat The Cowsluts and The Scum thats on that Team
That Alone is Reason to Celebrate .
Every Team in Both Leagues have Issues and Injured
Players The Fox Duo was so Biased its sickening .
The Reffs not a whole lot better that said Dallas
has a One of the Better offensive Lines Period they
also know us well . I always expect a battle no matter
how bad either team is playing coming in .
We evened our record in the division and a Carolina win
tonight would be sweet .
I liked Darkwa end of last year and pre-season we needed
a little more burst to the hole and he provides that .
Beckum IMO in no way 100% with Cruz and Beatty out
were playing shorthanded . Getting Tired of the JPP
situation if somehow he could come back and be affective
would be a big boost as the Pass Rush is almost non-existent
I was Fired up today and it was a Huge Win .
Hopefully we came out healthy .
this was the season...I could care less how they won!
GO GIANTS!!!!!!
This X a billion. Best win the team has had in a couple years at least.
And I see no reason to be unhappy with a win that included a defensive and special teams TD. If anything I think that's a huge plus. They took on a great offensive line that dominated for stretches and still won. Not every team is going to have Dallas's offensive line or commitment to running the ball.
A real relief to win this game, but we got one coverage sack today, and virtually no pressure on Cassel. That's gonna be our season-long achilles heel.

Lou, I'm thrilled that we won, especially against Dallas, the team we love to hate the most. But our DL got shredded on the run, and couldn't develop any pressure on Cassel. Dallas has a great OL, but we haven't gotten pressure on any QB this year without blitzing.
I think Spags should lose that. Reminds me of Perry's let's have Tuck drop back and try to play the middle of the field on blitzes plays.
That's always been the worst part of Spags defense. It was even worse when he had Osi dropping into coverage because he could actually rush the passer.
Today, it was especially bad because the zone blitz was not generating any pressure
should be a all you need to know about our GM's football intellect. And do we have a Tight End?
Shithead is back with another shot at Jerry Reese. Can you contribute anything to this site for once? I would settle for one post that doesn't mention Jerry Reese.

Come on look at the composition of this team!! We are winning despite the fact that the O and D lines are being manned by scrubs. Who's fault is that????
that Beatty tore his pec working out and that JPP blew off 1 1/2 fingers. He is also at fault for Ayers missing the majority of the season due a couple of injuries. How about mentioning the great play of Flowers, Pugh, and Richburg?
this was the season...I could care less how they won!
GO GIANTS!!!!!!
EXACTLY! Yes Dez and Romo are hurt, but we have injuries as well. Its not like we are a super talented team that played down to the competition. What did everyone expect?
That said, it was a disturbing game. The 3 INTs were great, but they were more very good plays made by individuals on 3 bad throws. The defense, as a whole, was terrible. And, is it me, or did the run defense get worse once Kuhn came back and was re-inserted in the starting lineup?
But remenber he's played 7 games in two years. Thought he was overpaid to begin with but there is no better option. This team won ugly but I'll take that for now. Younger players will improve, injured players may return and the defense will get better as a result. The key is to stay relevant as the season progresses. Forget the Cowboys, beware the Saints.
Following Tom Coughlin's 100th regular season victory as Giants coach, Eli Manning told ESPN.com: "I definitely play for Coach Coughlin. I play for the players, ownership, other coaches...I want Coach Coughlin to be a Hall of Famer."
and it's happened dozens of times in the last decade to a player and coach who don't deserve it for one second. Critical of poorly coached games? Sure. Critical of a bad pass or a bad game? Sure. But the broad insults of their character and ability disgusts me because of their class and accomplishments.
Either way I just wanted to post the quote that I thought was the essence of this QB, and why we should all love the guy. More about the quote than the dunce thing. He's Giants through and through.
And losing five straight to Dallas i am thrilled tonight. The season is already better than 2013 and 2014 just from this win alone. The team needs to get better but that's fine. They could get better. Take it one week at a time. They battled all night. They won and my god man, they all but put Dallas on life support. Some of you need to stop and smell the roses.
I Don't care how the game was won,I just care that we won.
No one gives a crap that we should have won the first game or the Atlanta game so no apologies for winning a hard fought game.
When you don't have a pass rush, it matters who plays corner. And finally the coaching staff decided to play a running back who has both instant acceleration and the ability to change direction without losing speed. Good pickup by Reese who is not as bad a judge of talent as some on this board maintain. However, on the downside, giving Schwartz a contract that only his brother deserves was downright foolish. And what did the draft room see in Andre Williams? The more he plays, the more he reminds me of Ron Dayne.
but we could also be worse... at 4-3 ... we're ok... still look back at the first game of the season as a massive missed opportunity but our defense is better than expected. Our offense isn't firing .. needs to get better.. but who could argue that the talent isn't there to improve? Let's go Panthers..

Agree. I'm thrilled to finally beat those bastards. Plus a very critical win people don't realize. Just only bitch about

i tend to agree but this run blocking has been so bad for so long its hard to make a fair judgment on williams. But dwarka looked nice i must say
When you are going to win against Dallas the way the Giants were winning today you don't push your luck. We have lost too often over the years by last minute disasters. Be thankful.
Understand guys saying, "if romo, and Dez would've played!" Add Cruz and Will back into the offense, and the giants would've scored 40 plus. Not to mention the success of the cowboys running game, kept the ball from the giants, which kept them from finding a rhythm.
has been less than stellar especially in the second halfs this year
3 year rebuilds are a thing of the past, and quite honestly we're three years in and barely competitive.
Yeah!!!
Thank god this division sucks as much as it does.
THE GAME.
First place......have a season......get guys back......
no negatives, not tonight......
Been a long time since I have had this feeling after a season defining game against the Cowboys.
Thank god this division sucks as much as it does.
That's the thing. Dallas and Philly are HORRIBLE. We've lost to them both. We barely beat Dallas today.
2-9 vs. Dallas and Philly since 2013.
JPP? Bueller?
JPP? Bueller?
Exactly
You're probably an old poster with a new handle, but that could be the post of the day..Kudos

New poster, but thank you, sir :)
Really don't understand sitting Demonster. Was that some kind of punishment? Did TC make him wear a dunce cap?
Darkwa comes in and lights the stadium on fire with a hard nosed performance. Then he sits. Huh?
McAdoo is still on my questionable list. What was the game plan today? Did McAdoo show the offense highlights of Trent Dilfer?
It is criminal that he is playing on this team, especially with his pay. He needs to go...shame we don't have somone so we could release him.
Whitlock was certainly in on Dallas's last 2 offensive plays: 3 and 4th downs and 8 to go.
He's not going to help Schwartz though. Newhouse, for the most part has not been a major problem on the right. He's had some issues, but Schwartz is killing them on that side and now inside. He does not appear among the seventeen Giant defenders who made or assisted a tackle.
The offense SUCKS.
Go Dallas next week.
Philadelphia is the team we need to start accumulating losses now.
2011 Giants looked like crap for much of the season as well. Prince, Crux and Beatty come back. OBJ and Randle get healthier. You never know what is going to happen.
1) Jerry Jones "I encourage Dez, I had no problem with what he did tonight!"
2) Per Coach Jones, Matt Cassel will start again next week!
Live Long (but don't Prosper), Mr. Jones!

Great, great, great win.
those that keep bitching about Kuhn's play
don't know anything about stopping the run --- and don't know how to watch DL play !
O'Hara on Post Game show said that cowboys were picking on Schwartz. Shows what is on Giants' Game Tape and what other see of Giants' OL play.

I'm stunned that we won and I don't care how.
He was signed because he was available ( several times ) and some pointed it out that he did not stick but kept being available.
How many OL FA worked out ?
Tampa Bay - Carl Nicks ?
Titans - Michael Oher ?
DRC Harris Merriweather are the three stars
Schwartz has played fine for 5 of the 7 games
Outside of the Eli kneel downs they had 135 yards on 23 carries rushing the ball - were they playing with only 4 OL while running
Dallas avg almost 6 ypc on 41 rushes and ran 18 more plays with a 17 minute TOP and the Giants won
GO GIANTS!!!!!!

At some point we need to discuss Quinn as the possible replacement for Coughlin when he retires...
