Then someone needs to be held accountable, and probably should be even if it is not.
This team has parted ways with coordinators on both sides of the ball. Year in year out, our biggest issues are lack of talent and injuries and more often than not, a lack of talent compounded by injuries.
TC has been irresponsible in lack of action on this one (that is, if he wasn't overruled from above).
While some injuries are unavoidable (e.g. Wilson), the lack of talent goes hand-in-hand with the recurring injuries. Look at all the 1st thru 3rd round picks under Reese that were injured before earning a 2nd contract or shortly thereafter (Cruz, Thomas).
With all of the injured players being carried on the roster , particularly some with very little pedigree, it must be a much slower rehab or a reinjury that is causing them to even consider not reinstating him this year.
B: what are the contributing factors to the decision.
As far as speculation he could have an injury or is really struggling to find his form. If the latter they should have given Beatty more time to prepare for his return to the field to delay the need for this decision.
RE: And I'll reiterate my points as the season as progressed
They would not be a part of my NY Giants plans. Good players, great teammates, easy to root for. However, too oft injured and getting older, and making lots of money.
Absolutely on Beason, Probably with Beatty, but I'd let the Cruz thing play out before any decisions. Prince, I just don't know. Not easy or cheap to replace.
next year after missing essentially 18 months. Prince has played a full season once in his career.
You cannot rely on these players. It sucks, I wish both of them were healthy and contributing. But just think of all the times you bitch and complain about a Preston Parker or a Jayron Hosley...... they are/were on this team due to the fact these guys cant stay on the field.
Prince, IMO - would be a question of money/contract
If you can get him signed to a reasonable contract with limited risk (maybe roster/option bonuses instead of a ton of guaranteed money), then I'd be onboard. It's not easy to replace a CB of his caliber, and it wouldn't be cheap either.
Cruz - if he's not back this year, then it's either at a dramatically reduced rate (with incentives, to allow him to make it back based on performance). Otherwise, they have a tough decision to make.
Beatty - if he's not back this year, I'd cut him and move on.
JPP - need to see the rest of the year from him, and see his contract demands.

Training staff in all of sports. How does a guy miss a WHOLE SEASON for getting hurt from working out in June....? Only the Giants.
Hasn't he been practicing ?
How the heck is the training staff responsible for getting him on the field after a pec tear? Most pec tears require a guy to miss a year, so the timetable seemed aggressive to begin with.
The net cap difference between having Beatty on the roster in 2016 and having Newhouse on the roster is only about $2.5M. Given that and given the $5M dead cap hit that Beatty would represent, I don't see the money as driving the decision on Beatty for 2016.
It more comes down to whether they want to keep Flowers at LT. They may very well not see Beatty as a good option at RT.
You can't keep parting ways with good players because no one outside the QB can stay healthy. What player who sees any amount of starting time outside of Eli ever strings together multiple seasons without missing games?
I agree - Prince is a bitch of a decision to make because he'll be awfully hard to replace, yet it's hard to justify giving him a lot of money when he never plays a full season.
this team the past few years has been this snake bitten!! 11years we've been dealing with this. I can't remember the Giants being this riddled with injuries. Yes some major guys went down but good lord this decade has been like a MASH unit!! I'm so numb to the news of an injury, it's an everyday occurrence for this team!

The med staff has to go.
TC on beatty- staying on,PUP...needs surgery on rotator cuff
Tom Coughlin says Will Beatty will remain on PUP, have rotator cuff surgery, season is over.
We need to start feeding these guys whatever Eli has been eating.
Sorry for the rant!
he tore it doing the same weight-training exercises as the pec.

Wouldn't he have known something else was wrong with him all this time?
Gotcha.
