Mine would probably be Calvin Johnson: This guy has lost more than just a step. Maybe its the big frame leaving him open to injuries, some of it is the qb play and dysfunction of the team BUT i'm sorry a top 5 wideout does not perform like this guy week in and week out. I would give just about anything to have Tate on the other side of OBJ.
moreso than Sherman? Im convinced Sherman would get shreded without the same help he has over the top as he does now. He's struggled this year badly and lacks top end speed. Peterson has speed in spades.
of course he was great at a time but the last 2 years he doesn't look like the same guy.
Matt Ryan is mine. Never seen a guy come up so small so often who still gets the praise he does.
Matt Ryan is a good choice.
It's weird because he's not even some force of personality nor does he have any jaw dropping specific skill to draw people in and get himself the pass pretty much no other QB in shoes would get.
I agree w Ryan but I think Russel Wilson is right behind him. Damn close
An important distinction. He was a generational talent. He got old.
My vote goes to Matt Ryan with Andy Dalton not very far behind
Now they add Collins. Wow .
Tom Brady to a certain in extent
Look at Larry Fitzgerald's stats from 2012-2014.
On a different plane I would nominate Sheldon Day from Notre Dame. Everyone raves about how he is a force and can't be blocked but the few games I have watched he almost always blocked and pushed out of the way
+1, although I think Flacco is pretty overrated but it won't win an argument because he has that SB.
Tom Brady to a certain in extent
I don't agree. He plays the game with heart. Say what you will about his off the field behavior (it was horrid) I love how he plays on the field. Tom Brady is in a great situation...but he works hard to make himself successful much like the Mannings.
As for Russell Wilson, oh I overrated, I just gave THE definition of overrated, which is RUSSELL wilson. Friday Morning groups before work, the big Sand Castle.
#1 Russell Wilson
#2 Cam Newton
...basically any player that has ever been in a play in the NFL and did something good is going to be casted as overrated, especially Adrien Peterson lol fucking stupidity has no bounds
If not, the only thing dumber than saying Peterson, is saying Brady.
Witten has eaten the Giants lunch and stolen their lunch money. Bryant has crapped-out...
I like Ryan and Wilson so far for QBs. I might include Andrew Luck myself but not sure that's fair. I think Suh is an excellent choice as well outside of QB. I also agree with the Dallas O-Line. They are good but often talked about like they are all time and they are not even close to that.
I anticipate he will get more credit than he will deserve if they turn things after his return. The team's losing streak has been about a lot more than just the QB play, but they probably rally around his return and I expect other areas to pick up.
If they lose a game or two after his return though, things could also implode.
I don't think Russell Wilson is overrated, he's not considered an elite QB, is he? he's kind of a Joe Flacco who can run. or maybe I'm just out of touch with the nationally accepted ratings.
