Agree and I don't think I'm being a homer in saying so. Constantly omitted from the top 100 players list. Bumped down to 13 on another QB list this week. It's really strange.
Agree 1000%. The amount even of Giants fans that I know, (season ticketholders no less!) that don't respect or even just appreciate this QB is phucquing maddening!
The narrative in the media and among fans of other teams that he is a turnover machine with poor body language and leadership skills is annoyingly overplayed.
He has been a top ten QB for many years in this league and has just not had the talent around him to win enough games the past few years. In spite of the two superbowls, if he played in this west coast offense his entire career he would have the gaudy stats and would not receive the same criticism he has over his career.
best Pats LB in the Belichick era. Such a stud. Most versatile defender in the league now.
Antonio Brown is so good that he's still probably underrated despite being considered one of the top guys. He's insane. Doesn't get the love he deserves because of his size.
I think Eli is the most underrated but Dalton is right up there. I've been very impressed by him this season, he's been making some big time throws, but everybody wants to hold judgement on him until he does something in the playoffs. Fair enough.

I know it's way off topic, but Jamie Collins is a perfect example of the Patriots value-based drafting in action.
in the 2013 draft the Pats traded their first round pick (#29) to the Vikings (who selected Cordarelle Patterson), for the Vikings 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th round picks and used the results to select Jamie Collins, Logan Ryan, Josh Boyce (no longer on the Pats I believe), and a 7th round pick they traded.
it doesn't always work, but when it does, it looks great.

Brown's a good one. Not sure he makes the top 3 WR list for most fans, yet if he's not the #1 WR in the NFL right now, he's 1B behind Julio. His #s this year with Big Ben at QB are unreal.

I think fans are very aware of how good Brown is. The consensus of everyone I've talked to is that he is the best WR in the game right now.
Brown is simply the best in the league right now. I think even if you consider him the #2 or #3 WR in the league right now, you're underrating him.
Gerald McCoy should be up there. It's amazing how similar his career has been to Suh's, yet he gets nowhere near the hype because he has a normal sounding name and isn't as dirty.
for 2 years running now and I think he's pretty well ranked. Using fantasy as a barometer of how people rank players in real life, I was prepared to swap my 10th overall pick with the 4th overall pick to take Brown. I didn't end up doing it but he fell to me anyway as the first WR off the board.
He's better than Jones. The only thing Jones does definitively better is body up DB's with his size. What makes Brown great is he doesn't even need to do that. He's ALWAYS open.
I think fantasy guys know this and I love Eli just as much as any other Giants fan but it's a shame he's on a team that bad in such a small market.
They're 2-7, his #1 receiver is Danny Woodhead now that Allen is out, Gates is a shell of himself, the line is terrible, the defense is worse and yet he has one of the best QB ratings in the league and I believe he's 2nd in yards.
just because he did that stupid head plant of the QB in Philly
He's one of the best NFL pass rushers per attempt right now
What does that stat even mean? Seriously, what does it mean?
it means for the times he gets to line up and play
He gets the most out of those chances
I believe he leads the Giants in sacks and is hardly ever on the field
As an everydown player like Strahan, I think DeMontre could have 20 sacks this year

the Leader according to ESPN are people like Orakpo and JJ Watt at 7-9 sacks
I would be willing to bet the ranch those guys get 10-20 times more snaps than Demontre who has 3 and had the head plant one taken away on a penalty
You can hate on DeMontre for the bogus penalties (even Coughlin thinks hes not getting fair treatment) but he is amazing pass rusher and is listed by ESPN as one of the NFL's prominent Sackmasters
To the majority of non Giant fans Eli would be the most overrated player in the NFL but on this board he's the underrated. That's funny. Eli has 2 Super Bowl wins, he may be under appreciated by those that don't watch him every week but he most certainly is not the most underrated.
I'd say Jay Cutler given what he's had to work with and the treatment he got even from his own coaches.
I think fantasy guys know this and I love Eli just as much as any other Giants fan but it's a shame he's on a team that bad in such a small market.

Agreed. Phillips is super underrated. Could you imagine him THIS offense instead of Eli?

How is he underrated? He's consistently rated in the top 10 QBs and is always rated above Eli? If anybody's underrated it's certainly Eli, who, regardless of stat comparison has had a better career. Eli will also end up top 10 all time in most passing statistics. And so, I'm with most everyone else here that thinks Eli is and has been, one of the most underrated.

by some already ..it's Eli Manning nothing made this more obvious to me when last week I was watching NFL HQ on NFLN and they voted Tony Romo as the NFC east MVP of the 1st half of the season, based on the fact that there were no other viable candidates in the division..UNBELIEVABLE !!!!

Isn't better than Julio or Beckham. No way you take Brown over those 2 right now. I'd probably take Hopkins over him too.
NYG WR Harris. He's underrated! Cowboys didn't know what they had with him. Giants are just figuring it out now. He should be a starting WR and can be an 80 catch guy.

In case you haven't noticed, Damoron DOESN'T FUCKING PLAY!! Why? Because he is stupid, doesn't know the playbook, takes undisciplined costly penalties, and doesn't make enough plays to put up with the stupidity. Do you really think they are burying him out of some kind of spite when they are desperate for a pass rush?
Stats? He was in for 30.6% of the plays against NE: 0 tackles, 0 assists, 0 sacks
Yes, you are a major idiot, the kind who makes outlandish claims to draw attention to himself at no loss to credibility because you have none. If the stupid claim somehow comes true you THINK you are a genius, when it doesn't nobody cares because we all know you are an idiot.

Gotta give Reese credit on that one. He (and the staff) saw him as a receiver when nobody else did.
Is better than both Julio and OBJ, no question about it in my mind. The man s a potential 40 yard gain on every possession. You could argue D Hopkins as good as Julio and OBJ but Brown is looking down at the argument.
He's a really tough cover. Great quickness and ball skills. And he was set for a big year in 2015 before the injury. When he's healthy he's one of the best WR in the league.
And its not even close. This guy is underrated and under appreciated by fans and haters alike. People argue about whether or not he's "elite", all the while, he had two - TWO - Super Bowl MVP trophies. Too young to imagine the Giants without Eli? Well, just look across the way at the Jets. They haven't had a decent quarterback since that drunk guy with the fur coat.
Eli's as good as it gets in terms of representing the team.
And - in addition to being a stone cold winner - the guy is unbelievably durable. So, you have a great player, who's always on the field, plays great in the big spots and represents the team as an unrivaled professional. And yet - Eli gets shit on all the fucking time. Drives me NUTS!

Beckham is great but Brown's been doing it for a lot longer.
Julio has the physicality but he's not as good a route runner as Brown.
Brown is always open. He's the best in the game right now. I think Odell has a chance to be a bigger/better version, but I don't think he's there quite yet.
is so good it's staggering. If the Steeler offense wasn't successful i'd say OK maybe he's a bit of a compiler but the Steeler offense is productive--ranking 6th in yards per and this is without Bell for most of the year and Ben missing time. BRown IS the Steeler offense and it's a good offense. The guy is ridiculously productive even if his skill set isn't as gaudy as BEckham's or Jones.
Add it all up and Brown is the best WR in football. He's pretty much Jerry Rice part 2.
Beckam may have way more potential going forward but Brown is dominating on a weekly basis similarly to what OBJ did at the end of the year last year. But he does it weekly. And the numbers are only down this year because Vick was clueless utilizing that weapon.
Beckam can surpass him at some point but for now, Brown is nearly unstoppable.
whos always open. Guy can be sitting on his lap and he's open.
If you're starting a team you take Beckham and Jones over Brown. Easy decision.
Brown is awesome but I really like Hopkins. Going forward from this point, if I could draft one I'd probably go with Hopkins. I'll roll with him over the next 5 seasons.

Yeah but if Moore decides to go both ways and plays TE
Katie bar the door LOL
That is false. If he was out they would take a hit but would move along because it is such a well balanced attack (even without Bell).
I think you could make a case that Bell was more valuable in 2014.
The Steelers made one of the best moves of 2015 by signing RB Williams. He's far from finished. With Williams, the strong OL, BR, and Bryant, the Steelers offense is a lot more than Brown.
I think Brown is exceptional but I would take a few guys over him.
A lot of people won't admit this, but Brees is the best QB in the league. He has gotten it done with a wide range of WRs and none of them have ever done anything outside of NO.

How a player is used and the surrounding talent has a big impact on a WR numbers.
Strong OL, Bryant, Williams/Bell, Miller, and BR. And the way they use him with quick hitters and picks.
It's like rolling out Edelman's stats and trying to tell me he's better than AJ Green.
Edelman was on pace for 120, 1400, and 14 TDs.
Surrounding talent and usage. It's often the reason behind the numbers.
I think Brown is exceptional but IMO the better WRs are named Jones and Beckham and if you're drafting right now you take these guys above Brown (and I like Hopkins going forward a lot too. Dez Bryant is out of the discussion because of injury).
and yes it's a team sport. Playing with a solid run game and Big Ben helps Brown put up mega-stats for sure.
But there's no WR I've seen recently who is as slippery as Brown. He is always wide open. And unlike Edelman (692 yards on 88 targets), he isn't just about the short stuff. Julio is the guy who gets fed short slants non-stop. Brown runs all over the field and goes deep a ton.
actually I was at a bar last night watching the game and struck up conversation with an Oakland fan. He said he doesn't like the Giants mainly because of Eli, he said he seems like a wimp. I didn't get mad or anything I just said you realize Eli Manning has NEVER missed a game since being named the starter and gave football fans two very exciting playoff runs.

You're an idiot.
The guy is good.
He might not be top 10 or even top 20 good but most people have no idea who he is.

I'd probably say the same thing to a Steeler's fan.
More is fucking awesome. He's the best pass rushing pass rusher specialist in the NFL. You are high.
Beckham > Brown
Drafting right now? NOBODY in the NFL takes Brown going forward. Nobody!
Julio has the physicality but he's not as good a route runner as Brown.
Brown is always open. He's the best in the game right now. I think Odell has a chance to be a bigger/better version, but I don't think he's there quite yet.
Moore has been in on 16 tackles in very limited playing time
usually passing downs
He cannot stop the run? WTF

He doesn't deserve a mention on this thread. He's a fringe NFL player who's barely a speed bump vs the run.

Yeah high on Moore
If he walks he will become a starter and NFL sack leader elsewhere.....probably Carolina
Add it all up and Brown is the best WR in football. He's pretty much Jerry Rice part 2.
Beckam can surpass him at some point but for now, Brown is nearly unstoppable.

I think you could make a case that Bell was more valuable in 2014.
The Steelers made one of the best moves of 2015 by signing RB Williams. He's far from finished. With Williams, the strong OL, BR, and Bryant, the Steelers offense is a lot more than Brown.
I think Brown is exceptional but I would take a few guys over him.
A real talent!
A real talent!
Serious?

Hopkins --- 123 targets --- 927 yards --- 7.54 yds/target
Julio ------- 119 targets --- 1029 yards -- 8.65 yds/target
Brown ----- 114 targets --- 1141 yards -- 10.01 yds/target
Odell ------- 104 targets --- 863 yards --- 8.30 yds/target
Brown has also been doing this for years now. He's the best in the game.

A lot of people won't admit this, but Brees is the best QB in the league. He has gotten it done with a wide range of WRs and none of them have ever done anything outside of NO.
A real talent!

troll, already banned

This idiot has gotta be either a dupe or 17-20 year old kid.
Seriously dude, you sick so bad and whats worse is it doesn't bother you
I'm glad we drafted JPP, but it sure would have been nice to get Thomas.

Seriously Dude he is listed amongst the ESPM list of most prolific sacks for 2015 but gets very few snaps
He leads our team in sacks and was our sack leader for the
the last two seasons in pre-season
He has 3 and would have had 4 but for the head plant being called back
the leaders in the NFL have about 8
Even Coughlin admits most of Moore's recent penalties were not penalties
He is a huge menace to any opponent QBand he only plays sparingly
if he were a 4 down lineman like Strahan or JPP he would rackup 20 sacks per year
Support the Giants team leaders or go back to the Dallas MB
Obvious troll is obvious but that's the silliest thing I've heard on here in weeks.
LOL his team hasn't been in play since Kenny the snake Stabler pity the poor guy.....its like a Dallas fan
just say to him 1997
