One of my favorite Eli Manning throws of all time

LooneyTune : 11/22/2015 2:59 am
2011 Season week 17. 3rd and ten, a must win game against Dallas. We need a first down to put the game away or else Dallas gets another chance to win it.

Amazaing throw, and unreal body control from Victor.

I guess my favorite one is this one.......

Eli was leveled as he threw it, and only the reaction from the crowd let him know what happened...he just hit him in stride with a perfect throw....

That one was more of Cruz after the catch. The other two were great throws
Honestly,

That throw against NE where he threaded the needle between two linebackers was amazing. I think it went to Tye if I am not mistaken.
Here is the pass

Watch Eli to Tye for 31.

I dont know how q defender didnt at least get a hand on it let alone pick it off.

Eli to Manningham For the TD . Great throw in the only place that Manningham could get it without the int. Against one of the toughest NFL defenses.
Crazy stat line for Victor Cruz at that moment

5 Rec 157 yds 1TD

People forget how special of a player he is. I don't know if he will be the same player when he comes back next year, but the Giants need to do all that they can to keep Cruz and try to get the most out of him. He's worth taking a chance on.
Two more from Cruz...

Probably the most underrated throw in nyg history.
Eli to Nicks on the sideline

2011 game in Dallas, 2nd to last drive. Rolling out of the pocket to his right, Eli fires the best "on the run" pass of his career right on the money to Nicks (might have been Cruz, there were 2 similar throws on this drive) to help us score fast and keep the season alive.
2011 was the
St. Jimmy : 11/22/2015 1:11 pm : link
best receiver corps the Giants ever had. Weekly, you could debate who was the best with Cruz or Nicks. Either could dominate a defense and for the majority of the season, no one could take both away.
The Throw to Cruz
crick n NC : 11/22/2015 1:43 pm : link
in the video above was a heave by Eli, sometimes the Giants benefit from it and sometimes they suffer because of it.
A heave?
LooneyTune : 11/22/2015 2:34 pm : link
Eli recognized 1v1 coverage, executd a fast spin move, threw while drifting left, and kept Cruz between himself and the CB. And that ball was on a rope. Keep in mind that was a game winner in a playoff clinching game.
And if you watch the video
LooneyTune : 11/22/2015 2:37 pm : link
You can see that Eli recognizes two safety's over the top, so he keeps it to the left of the wr to take that safety out of the play. If he hits him in stride the safety on the other side may have been able to intersect the trajectory.

Great play. That flummoxed Rex Ryan to no end.

I still have no idea how Ahmad Bradshaw got downfield so fast to congratulate Cruz in the end zone. Look at where Bradshaw is at 0:35, he's blocking for Eli in the end zone and Cruz is ten yards downfield. Look at Bradshaw at 0:24 congratulating Cruz on the touchdown. Amazing. He makes his blocks and then hustles all the way downfield to get there seconds after Cruz did. Man, we had some warriors!
