watched the Dallas Miami game on Sunday, Dallas was lucky to get out of there with a win. A better team with a better QB would have taken advantage of some critical Cowboy mistakes. Anything can happen on Thursday, and remember Dallas gets the bonus for playing at home. I'm not so sure the Cowboys defense has an answer for what Cam Newton is doing at the moment. His mental game is starting to match his physical game.
in the season being favorites over an undefeated team. This is just dumb and probably has a lot to do with the name "Cowboys" and that the odds of a team going undefeated this late in the season are rare.
that went toe to toe with the Patriots that are adding some big pieces, I don't worry about anything other than being injury free from here on out. If they are, they will be a force to be reckoned with come the playoffs
division. We haven't had the Coughlin crash yet. Even in good years the Giants have had losing records the second of the season.,,, (I want to be wrong)
RE: Isn't this more indicative of the gambling public
than anything else? Considering their fanbase, I wouldn't be surprised to see that bunch forking over money on that game.

The line is reflective of people being excited Romo is back, it's in Dallas, and because it is so hard to go undefeated. I don't think anyone who follows football sat down and said "I just don't see the Panther's winning this one."

Probably panthers have to go on road on short week. Winning record of Road teams on short week are not good. Dallas with Romo back and enjoy healthy, plus panthers due for a let down, all adds up. I can't see panthers winning Thursday.

Yes he has had his moments. If you took a poll more people I'd bet would put Romo in the Hall of Fame before Eli. I really don't remember a guy who has accomplished less over a career get so much adulation from the media.
Projecting this great run by Romo just feeds into the narrative around this guy. The best thing that can happen to the legend that is Tony Romo is for him to lead the Cowboys Thursday and get hurt on his last possession and is out for the rest of the year. Romo would become God like if that happens

So you're saying to roll the big bucks on Carolina?
Eh, Carolina is reaching that point where all undefeated teams struggle, so I wouldn't be totally surprised to see them lose. That, and it's a Thursday game where they're traveling.
If this were a regular Sunday game, I'd be pretty comfortable putting some money on Carolina, and I'm not the betting type.
If I'm Carolina who gets minimal National exposure
and I have an opportunity to show who I am to the country I'm looking to step on the Cowboys necks. How far is Dallas from Charlotte? It's not like they are flying completely across the country
done in any research on this, but my perception is that the home teams have a definite edge against the spread on Thursday games and a slightly larger edge on Thanksgiving.

Please provide stats
2007. Started 6-2. Went 4-4. Last 8 games. 4-4. Super Bowl
2009. Started. 5-3. Went 8-8. Last 7 games. 3-4. No playoffs
2012. Started.6-4. Went 9-7. Last 6 games. 3-3. No playoffs
I didn't have the time to look up other years but the pattern is the same. This point has been discussed on this site many times in past years.

I don't think past has much to do with this year but I'd frame it this way:
2007: Started 6-2. Finished 4-4.
2008: Started 11-1. Finished 1-3.
2009: Started 5-1. Finished 3-7.
2010: Started 6-2. Finished 4-4.
2011: Started 6-2. Went 1-5 before winning last 2 .
2012: Started 6-2. Finished 3-5.
Romo is not young anymore and he will be plenty sore after playing a full sixty minutes--and getting hit--after spending the last eight weeks in a bubble. Given the short week, that's gotta interfere with his preparation for the Thursday morning game.
And it's possible, given the short turn around for Carolina and home field for Dallas, the media will make things unbearable. 2 straight wins, Romo back, and defeat an undefeated team? Not only will Dallas win the division they'll win the Super Bowl too.

make Vegas a lot of cash on this one. Sure anyone can win but the Cowboys are a flawed team in a big way. Carolina's D is one of the best and they have enough on offense vs that depleted group to do more than enough to cover 1.5

I'm calling 4 blown leads in the 4th this years coughlin crash.
RE: Isn't this more indicative of the gambling public
very true
getting Romo back and getting that win was a huge boost to them
they were running very well (against a bad defense)
I think 8 - 8 wins NFC east
so until dallas has 9 loses I am going to be worried about them

Again 3-7 If Giants lose division to them it because they couldn't t beat an mediocre 8-8 record.
Sometimes fans try to figure out how their team can win without having to beat good teams.
Giants are in control of own destiny Cowboys don t.

Everything is set up for them this week, I agree. But Dallas has proved NOTHING on the field this year. NOTHING.
Let them win a few games to avoid a top 5 draft pick and fizzle.

Just admit your point sucked and isn't valid and move along.
They beat Philly in a game won by the Cowboys' defense, not Romo.
They played down to a bad Miami team and won.

What a loser.
No, not stupid, just not blind to facts. Check the post below on their record in the second half of seasons
Maybe 11.
And they didnt squeak by; they crushed them.

Exactly

No that losing streak was all QB play dude. Come on man. Dallas is probably 7-3 instead of 3-7 if Romo doesn't go down.
