The Giants could easily be 7-3 everyone knows that. I know WHY they aren't 7-3 and I know how they can improve their chances to win the games they have remaining.
The mistake they are making is they are allowing their opponents offense to have the ball with one possessions time on the clock when the Giants are leading by one score or less. The Giants defense isn't good enough to hold such a lead against good teams like the Pats. By the time the other team scores there isn't enough time on the clock for Eli to win the game or theres no time at all.
What they need to do:
Arrange things so Eli and the offense get the ball with one possessions time on the clock. Even if that means letting the other team score a touchdown to make it 21-17 in their favor. If that happens and theres 2+ minutes on the clock and the Giants have a couple of timeouts THEY WIN most of the time.
My advice to the defense is don't make it obvious you're letting the other guy score however.
Watch the remaining games and see if you don't think Im right should the Giants get in this situation. The beauty part of this is while its especially true this year it will work when ever this is happen in the future FOREVER.
I don't want any money for this suggestion however. Im a 50 year Giants fan going back to 1965 when my best friends cousin was the Giants punter. Just give me a sideline pass for every game. I think it would also help to have a headset tied into the coaching staff line. It would save me a lot of screaming at the TV and the wife would be so happy.
Watch the remaining games and see if Im right!
The world will never know just how awesome it was.
Or if you had some balls, you would have posted it under your normal handle and not made a dupe account to post something so insanely stupid.
Lombardi's got nothing on you.
Don't you think the Giants opponents score often enough when they TRY to stop them... LETTING them score isn't going to be much of a strategy.
How long is exactly 1 possession anyway? Just leave 1 possessions worth of time? Ok... is that 2 plays? a long td pass to Beckham? or a 8 minute, 15 play drive?
Unreal
Eli, Coughlin - please see to this immediately.
Brilliance!!!
That reminds me of that poster...Leader of Men
Now that guy was awesome.
You're welcome.
I was tempted to create a whole new thread for this. But it seemed excessive.
Watching Giants "D" come up 0-4 with a lead in final 2 minutes of a game, is pretty frustrating.

Signs up this month. Creates one thread. Disappears. Most likely a dupe...definitely a troll.
I suggest 2 minutes. That ought to be plenty for Eli. He needs to arrange it so theres not enough time left for the opponent to score again.
So if after one play and say 1:50 on the clock and if the ball is on the opponents 5 and the score is 31-29 Cowboys, Eli takes 3 knees before kicking the fieldgoal.
Not sarcastic or even frustrated. My three brothers in law are all Eagles fans with ZERO Superbowls. Now THATS frustration! In 1980 it wasn't fun having them as relatives but the worm has turned.
I'll be back after each game and we'll talk.

Well i wish i could say you are off to a good start. But at least there is plenty of room for improvement...
So, exactly how does one control this strategy? Let's say you are up 3 with 2:15 left and the other team has the ball at their own 7. We should probably sit down in a circle at the snap and let the team go for a TD, right? That way we have two minutes down 4 to get a TD.
Amiright. Fuck yeah I am!
Other than that though, a brilliant plan.
That could stop them from being such wuss bags when playing Philthy.

What about having Eli, the RBs and the WRs wear adult diapers that are fully "loaded"? Who on the Eagles is willing to step in there and make a tackle?

Good question and it obviously wont work in this situation.
Think the Saints game. Giants up 7 with ~8 minutes left. Saints work their way down the field, eating up the clock until their close to scoring with around 2 minutes left. This is basically my strategy!
But the Giants let them score and tie the game INSTEAD of running out the clock.
Giants get the ball with 2 or 3 minutes left, drive down the field and kick a field goal with a few seconds on the clock. Brees cant get on the field and the Saints lose.
Therefore, for the Giants to win they need to kick you square in the balls so you don't breed. 100% of the time.

Stop stealing my ideas!
Too bad all you have is a cunt.
(Notwithstanding exceptions of the two Super Bowl victories over the best coach [Belichick] with David Tyree & Mario Manningham - the Pats are just "snakebit" against the Giants).
Lets look at the Giants' losses this year ,,,,
Dallas - Never-mind the clock management ineptitude, the game was lost when the Giants could not stop Terrance Williams after Dez Bryant went out with a broken foot
Falcons - The Giants had ATL on the floor, then they chose to give Matt Ryan a desperation shot to Julio Jones (single covered by Prince Amukamara
Eagles - The whole world knew Philly's offense (except the Giants that night) is all about their running game (because they have a sub-par QB and a below average receiving corps) - Go to an eight man line if you have to !
Saints - Drew Brees is just too good to let him sit back and pick you apart - You HAVE to blitz him and take your chances
Pats - Same with Brady, he's just too good, blitz, blitz, blitz
If you watched the Bills (who we beat), they almost stole the game, this past Sunday by making a commitment to beating up Tom all day.
That's similar to my strategy for the current year Giants: have your best players (the offense) on the field for the last 2 minutes of the game trying to score from one score down.
We don't want our defense on the field trying to protect a one score or less lead. At least against top tier teams like the Pats.
