No one can expect anything from him, other then Nicks himself. To me he's a better option as the 4th WR then the kid White. He'll run a sure route and he will be physical and hold the ball if he gets his hands on it. He is not going to separate particularly well and he will not be drawing #1 or #2 WR coverage. The question is can Nicks make hay against #3 and #4 CB's or zones.
I think he can make a small positive impact for the team and that's worth having him.
With Pugh the team needs to be very, very careful. NYG are not the Rams. Pugh needs to sit out as long as he needs to.
Richburg will surprise me if he doesn't try to give it a go at the end of the week. He'd be a long shot to play given the recency of his injury and his game has a lot of movement. Still I'd like to see him back over Reynolds who's snaps were scaring the crap out of me. If Richburg can't play, a roster move is likely needed - who else can play center besides Reynolds? Jerry?
coverage and set plays and routes that he will get to practice and improve on This is a good game planning group on offense. Think we get some mileage till they catch on to us. Should be fun to watch and hoping it woks out.
The OL is in trouble without both Pugh and Richburg, but I'm sure Pugh will be back. Hopefully Schwartz's ankle will now be good enough to make him clearly better than Jerry.
and show he can be the #1 TE, otherwise the Giants will probably be inclined to look for someone new next year. I like Tye, but no sure if he's truly a # 1 TE.

David -Speak for yourself when you say no one can expect anything from him. I think he is going to make an impact and people will be surprised. Obviously not what he was before, but more than just a #4 WR type impact. He'll make a bigger impact than Cruz would of had he made it back, IMO.
It does make sense that we could be better at safety.
But, I wasn't as hopeful as others about Behre coming into this season. He's likable and a tough good hitter, but I don't like his coverage skills.
I had very high hopes for BJackson, and he did show the athleticism and range you would expect out of a converted CB. But it just seems clear to me that he can't handle the physicality of the position long term.
It seems clear that we have our SS type in Collins and just need someone with some range to pair with him.
To be fair about my safety talent evaluation, I thought Cooper Taylor would be a starter this season....
Larry Fitzgerald is 32, has a lot of mileage on him,
I'm here all week.
Also, to put it bluntly, Nicks has no guarantee's of anything. He's probably paid week to week. So his attitude has to be very different.

Tye and Donnell will give us the option of 2 TE sets
JT Thomas may add something.
My point is that all teams have injuries
The Ravens just lost their QB and RB
The Eagles are having injury issues with their QB, RB, ILB, LT...
The Cowboys just got back their QB and were without Dez for a few games. Scandrick, now Claiborne...
What hurts us most is lack of pass rush!

There is hope.
he must be hurt or just a shell of his former self then. I thought for sure we would have at least brought him in for a workout or physical.
