by insane if you mean completely unbearable, then yes.
the radio hosts are way beyond being unprofessional at this point. it's amazing.

I've lived in the Boston area since 2010, and I long ago stopped listening or watching any kind of sports media around here. I can't even get local news on social media because it's utterly overwhelmed with "yay us" stores on the local teams. Going into work the day after XLVI with all of my Giants' gear on remains my sports highlight since moving here.
so I can't hear the commentary but that looked like the worst non call of pi I've ever seen. DB facing receiver, hitting receiver before the ball arrived. No play on ball. It wasn't close. What the hell am I missing?

they said since the ball was underthrown and hit the DB in the back of the helmet, it is not PI...
on the pi play. It wasn't so under thrown that the receiver wouldn't have caught it if the db hadn't hit him first. The receiver didn't seem upset so I guess it was legal. Sure looked like pi to me though.
I'm sick of the Pats and their fans and as a Giants fan, I've had the great satisfaction of seeing Belichick and Brady twice beaten in the Super Bowl. Can you imagine what a fucking pain in the ass it must to loose to these guys year in and year out?
Folks say the Pats are "lucky" to play in their division. Ah...all the other teams have had 14 years to draft way ahead of a perpetual playoff winning way down in each round ...7 times last or second from last draft slot. For over a decade. So every other team in their division has at least a six slot advantage almost every draft.
I dunno...maybe Belichek and Brady are just plain tremendous at their jobs.
It's silly to deny how great Belichick and Brady are...
They are always the best prepared and hardest working team. Pats are ridiculously good as an organization. Probably be studied in biz school and sports coaching school forever.
But its equally silly to say that this isn't an incredibly lucky team. I mean, its un-fucking-canny. C'mon, they miss a kick with under a minute - after dropping two passes - one of which should have been a TD. And then Brady makes 'em pay.
Not saying they are great - but they are also unbelievably lucky. I guess luck really is the residue of hard work.

Regardless of where those teams drafted, it isn't difficult to argue that all the other teams in the AFC East have sucked for the most part over the last 10-15 years.

Bill. Not saying I disagree. But I would also contend that there have been more than a few FAs who didn't feel like playing the Pats two times a year as part of an AFC East team - despite money from other teams being close or equal.
It's been a long long time. Many injuries and many different ways and schemes and strategies. Often missing talent at key positions....yet so often they win.
Maybe the explanation is that there is a lot of luck in the game of inches for every team. That luck falls over time on everyone. The trend and the record of excellence is amazing
He caught the ball, thus the clock runs. Although the way the rule was applied isn't in the spirt of the rule. More if a wr ran back from getting tackled by a DB

That makes no sense. So a player cant step back to avoid a tackler on any play? Never heard of that.
I thought the refs let an excessive amount of time run off twice

Bubba I'm pretty sure if the runner goes out un-contacted the clock stops and the ball is placed where he went out of bounds. You are thinking of forward progress once he's hit by a defender.
Do the Patriots give their backups, playing time, with the starting lineup, more than other teams, so that they don't look lost out there, when they are asked to come into the game?
RE: If Taylor had an NFL quality arm, Bills win this thing.
Their DL need to put an arm up to occasionally distract TB from his target; something only JPP seems to do often.
Bills will need some breaks and if so, perhaps they can steal one.
What team in the AFC is going to take them out?
Big penalty there on the Bills. That puck would have been huge

is he not allowed to roll OOB before being touched?

Could you believe they reviewed a second and 1 with one minute to go?

A review that they allowed 20 seconds to run off before they decided to review.
Not to mention headset problems in the final 2 minutes.
The NFL is a war of attrition. And the Pats are losing it big time. Both Amendola and Dobson left the game with injuries. Their OL is in shambles.
What kills me is, the guy who was on the practice squad, last week, comes into the game, and on the first play catches a deep ball...
Looked like he was throwing a hail mary.
Looked like he was throwing a hail mary.
He was terrible with the long ball. He had wide open TDs just waiting with even average throws.
