It's no surprise that he comes across as bright, self-aware, and a good teammate.
Here's a typically upbeat exchange:
Quote:
Q: How do you think being on IR early in your career effects your long term prospects? The NFL seems to discount players who aren't dominant early in their careers.
Nat Berhe: I think it saves you honestly, reduces some of the impact you take. You can play great at the start of your career and slump during those contract years and you seem to be forgotten
It's good that he can accentuate the positive. The IR career path didn't work out for Adrien Robinson, Brandon Mosley, Marvin Austin, Cooper Taylor, etc. There haven't been many exceptions. Victor Cruz, I guess, though his trip to IR in 2010 was tactical (and probably a mistake). Markus Kuhn, maybe? Here's hoping Berhe, Jackson, Thompson and Odighizuwa can break the trend.
He's smart allright...He doesn't give a darn about being out there now.....it's inevitable, but it also disminishes the sport...and we are the jerks in the piece.
Like he said - he is in "Fan mode" and "watching this much Football isn't fun"
: )
Get well Nat.

I'm very disappointed.
I'm very disappointed.
Well, maybe he gets "mined, cut, and polished" - we can only hope Clams (I am with you). ; )
