History

RIP Ed Lechner the Giant who returned to college football, and served in WWII

He passed away in early November at the age of 95. He played in six games for the Giants in 1942, then because of a NFL rule change during World War II, he returned to the University of Minnesota to continue his college career while a graduate student in dental school. He would serve overseas during the War, and became a dentist, for a time serving as the Vikings' team dentist.
