FF thread 11-24

superspynyg : 11/24/2015 8:33 am
I won by 1 point. Going into last night he had Pats Def and I had the Pats kicker. I got lucky!

I have waiver claims in for Rawls, Allen, West.

Question of the day...Do I start Lacy vs Chi on Thurs?? Was his good game last week a fluke?

My other options for the flex are (non ppr):
Sanders vs NE
John Brown vs SF
Anderson vs NE
or possibly
Rawls, Allen or West if I win the claim.

I assume you mean Ware, not West?
giants#1 : 11/24/2015 8:48 am : link
If you win the claim I'd start Rawls, otherwise I'd probably gamble on Lacy. 3rd option would be Sanders, but I'm always leery of guys returning from injury in their 1st game back.

The Forsett injury hurts. How would you rank these possible waiver pickups (0.5 pt ppr):
Alfred Blue
Buck Allen
Spencer Ware

Another league (non-ppr), I need to start 1 of these:
Forte @ GB
West vs Bills
K Williams @ KC
Did Williams

get hurt last night? I was at my hockey game, so I couldn't watch but it looked like he didn't touch the ball in the second half.

Williams mostly blocked for Shady. Only had like 6 carries. Buffalo used them both in the backfield at the same time frequently but McCoy was the feature back more often than usual.
So what are the chances Amendola
dep026 : 11/24/2015 9:15 am : link
plays this week? If no Amendola, chances are I have to choose between a gimpy Hyde or a shitty Blue. Ugh.
Karlos Williams got nothing last night...
BamaBlue : 11/24/2015 9:21 am : link
I was really surprised that Buffalo didn't try to get him more involved in the game. McCoy is a great RB, but it would have been a lot smarter, in a close game to have him fresh for the late 4th quarter. Also, I was surprised there weren't more passes in the middle to Clay. The Giants were able to make some nice yardage on passes to Tye last week... Oh well... it's Rex Ryan.

Rawls or John Brown. Rawls looks legit and unclear if and when Lynch will be back.

And SF secondary is pretty bad.

Giants#1, I'd start Forte if he's playing. and I'd rank Blue, Allen, Ware (depending on how long West is out, I read it might just be one week).

dep, ugh is right. I got nothing. I advised you to start Bortles last week because I was playing Bortles in both my leagues - he stunk, but I started Carr and Carr was worse (if that makes you feel any better). so I'd flip a coin on that one or go with the guy who should get more touches (Blue?) or is against the worse D (Blue)
I think I might have to take a chance on Lacy or one of the backs
superspynyg : 11/24/2015 9:37 am : link
I would go Forte. He is a talent and will get most of the snaps.
My team laid an egg
Mr. Nickels : 11/24/2015 9:39 am : link
but I got some miraculous help

3 teams competing for playoff spot all lost by 2 pts.

2 of which came on the final drive for the Bills on a Robert Woods catch and that Sammy Watkins catch on the review.

Need to win and have the 1st place team win next week and I am in the playoffs.

I own C West and I handcuffed Peterson but stupidly handcuffed Mcfadden over West (I don't own Mcfadden)

Anyway

Javorious Allen Spencer Ware and then Alfred Blue for Waiver Order?

Allen has the best matchup I am 6th so I doubt I get him.
I was thinking of grabbing him too so frustrated I didn't. Watch I cut Turbin and Mcfadden gets hurt!

Anyway my biggest concerns are health:

Charcandrick West is he supposed to be fine?
Jordan Reed will he miss time?
Will Jeffery play??

If Reed's out I need a waiver wire TE Julius Thomas Coby Fleener or Crocket Gilmore
Waiver wire pickups
Cruzin : 11/24/2015 9:45 am : link

Rawls is the #1 pickup if available
Then you have
Alfred Blue who as people have mentioned sucks
Buck Allen who will get run to death but in that offense? Not a thrilling proposition.
Spencer Ware is good but totally dependent on whether West plays or not, news on West is that he could play this week or be out 2-3 weeks. Not very helpful.

I'd seriously consider Ahmad Bradshaw, even if Gore plays, Bradshaw has been scoring TDs and has more pep in his step at this point in the season.

Tyler Locket is quietly becoming Wilson's favorite target in Seattle, If you get pts for return yards Locket might be a good get.

I'm in 12, 14 and 16 team leagues so I'd have to go deeper than most but both Bradshaw and Locket would be relevant in 12 team leagues IMO.
I am fighting and scratching for the playoffs in my favorite league.
BeerFridge : 11/24/2015 9:48 am : link
I've lived thru Dez and Jeffrey being injured the first half, CJ Anderson being terrible, losing Foster and Dion Lewis and now it appears I'm losing Charnado West. I assume I won't get Buck Allen or Spencer Ware in the waivers. Hopefully Blount and Gurley will be enough. And of course Jeffrey is hurt again.

What do you all
pjcas18 : 11/24/2015 9:58 am : link
think of Devin Funchess?

I had him om my roster earlier this year and waived him he wasn't getting targets and i guess missing camp hurt him.

I have Cam Newton as my QB, so I like QB/WR hookups. If Philly Brown is out again is Funchess worth a pick up?

I don't know I'd start him yet unless it's at flex since I have Cobb, Cooper, and Diggs to rotate through 2 WR spots, but if that lightbulb has come on it could be worth it.

thoughts? one week wonder (and wonder is relative, he had 4 catches for 64 yards and a TD, on 8 targets) or good option going forward?

As shitty as Blue is, he does play the Saints this week. The Saints are a place shitty players go to pad their stats
Funchess
Cruzin : 11/24/2015 10:09 am : link

I like QB/WR stacks and Carolina has been waiting for Funchess to develop all season long so he could be relevant, with Cory Brown out but and it's a big but, it's very difficult to trust any WRs on that team. The offense is Cam, Stewart, Olsen with Ted Ginn thrown to X amount of times depending on how many passes he drops early. I like risky plays, keeps the game fun if I had an open roster spot for speculation I might grab Funchess.

Funchess is more than a one week wonder. He's been getting more and more involved the past 3 weeks. He's got a couple nice catches that have been called back too, including a would have been TD a couple of weeks ago.
So I have 2nd waiver
pjcas18 : 11/24/2015 10:14 am : link
priority and need to pick between:

a) keep it no one worth 2nd spot
b) Funchess
c) Ware
d) Bradshaw
e) JJ Nelson

I don't need a RB really. I have Gurley, Yeldon, DeAngelo Williams, Antonio Andrews, but Ware might be 4th on this list.

I think WR might be a bigger need for me.

I've lost a ton of players to injury, not going to recount it here, we've all lost players, but of my top 5 round draft picks I have 1 left, Gurley 5th round.
I'm thinking of adding Funchess myself
5BowlsSoon : 11/24/2015 10:18 am : link
I'm losing faith in Diggs getting enough targets, so I may make the swap.
pj
Cruzin : 11/24/2015 10:20 am : link

If you're not gonna start your waiver pickup, keep the #2 spot and do your speculating of the FA list.

good point, it's a deep bench 12-team league though, and like timeouts I can't take waiver priority into the lockerroom with me if you get my meaning.

we have two more weeks until the playoffs, so I might put in a claim for Funchess, worst case is the first priority team does too and I become #1 for next week and best case is Funchess has turned it on and is a legit option down the stretch. I too have Diggs and he's disappeared kind of after the fast start.

would be nice to see Funchess develop a rapport with Newton like Benjamin had.
Any opinions on who the best QB stack is
Cruzin : 11/24/2015 10:55 am : link

QB Scoring: .25 comp. -.25 inc. -2 INT 6 passing TD
WR Scoring: 1 recpt. 1pt 10yds rec yards -.5 dropped pass .5 25 ret yrds

Hoyer/Hopkins vs NO
Cousins/D. Jackson vs Jints
Hasslebeck/Hilton vs TB

I think Funchess is worth a flyer. They invested a 2nd round pick in the guy so they value him and want to see him develop into a starter.

Cruzin : 11/24/2015 1:39 pm : link

I think John Brown is your best WR on that list this week. It's almost impossible to sit Cooper despite the clunker last week so the decision should be Cobb or Hilton.

As I mentioned last week, Cobb is nursing a bad shoulder, every time he lifts his arm he is in pain, he may be tough but the pain has got to be a factor in his performance. I wouldn't trust him.

I actually like Hilton this week, my only hesitation is if Hasslebeck feels more comfortable with Montcreif and Andre Johnson there isn't enough love to go round. Hilton will get open against TB and I doubt he'll let Hasslebeck ignore him.
