It was a small but painful irritant during MNF to hear our National Anthem performed by Sissy Twanger or whatever her name was (her newest album now available for download on iTunes by the way!) and then at the end be told the Star Spangled Banner has been sponsored by USAA!
No. No. No.
Now I understand it was the performance that was sponsored, not the song itself, but still, you don't sponsor the National Anthem, no more than you would put a Nike swoosh on the US flag. You just don't.
C'mon, man.

What's more American than sponsorship?
You ever see a soccer jersey overseas!

Pales in comparison to NASCAR. The level of sponsorship in NASCAR is as American as a bald eagle fucking an apple pie while carrying a piece.
This is an AWESOME idea. Like traders at the NYSE, Congressmen have to wear a vest. On the vest are logos for each of their top 20 donors, logo size and position based on size of donation.

They play a game with no commercials that's over in two hours. Not tv-friendly.
And if you want to save 15% of more on your car insurance, you go to Geico. It's what you do.

Someone should make that a logo.
