"All signs point to Chip Kelly and the Eagles parting ways after this season. I think they're both sick of each other"
but either way, it's a "win-win" for the East. If he stays, he'll likely replace Bradford with RG3 or Kaepernick. If he leaves, the next coach inherits a very flawed roster with a crappy secondary, an aging OL, no WR's of mention, injury prone RB's with a ton of mileage, and absolute garbage at QB.
but why not the Titans? He gets to reunite with Mariota. He is on a rookie deal so they can redistribute their to the rest of the team. They have some really nice pieces in place already besides Mariota. It is a shitty division. Why not?
Philly radio. Sounds like Schefter is saying he was misunderstood or that what he said was off the record. We'll see. This would be great for Eagle fans. They deserve it.

Only thing I can think of is that the Eagles won't allow it. He's still under contract, and they'd need compensation. I bet they'd ask for a boatload.
They gave him the keys to the castle and he set them back years
Even if they win the division, at this point it would be because the division is so putrid awful and not because they are a squad on the rise. No one can look at that team and say they are poised for a successful run, they have NO QB and almost no stars anywhere on the roster.
That depends. If they win out, sure. If they finish 5-11, and win against the Giants, all will not be forgiven. In fact, I think the city would kill him for not losing that game and getting a better draft pick.
Jeff Fisher. Still that rosters is a mess. Bradford coming off and they're stuck with Murray, Defense a mess in secondary.
Other than being a dirty SOB who tries to end players' careers, not scared of Jeff Fisher. 6 winning seasons out of 21 IIRC. I'd be more scared of Jim Fassel, lol.

He is gone.
It's funny I see guys like Barwin destroy us every time we play them. Maybe if Chip brainwashed them into thinking their opponents were the Giants every week they'd be 10-0.
Chip can go, and expect he will run back to college. Much different for an introverted control dealing with college kids versus multi-millionaire grown men.
If they tank that's a team Ina bad, bad spot that needs at least 2-3 years of rebuilding. No QB, no secondary (minus Jenkins, who is solid), no OL. It would be a train wreck. I can't envision anyone signing up for that.
The Eagles went all-in on the hottest college coaching commodity in ages. If thy were wrong, they screwed themselves so badly it would make a porn producer blush.
Howie Roseman, an Eagoes front office staple at this point who has been with the team since he was 25 (as a cap analyst) would likely remain, the veritable Last Man Standing between him and Kelly. While "promoted" Kelly clearly wrestled away personnel decisions, which ironically may cause his very downfall. Roseman may have lost the battle but just may win the war.
You know as well as I that potential coaches will line up. Stable ownership that will spend on coaches and free agents, rabid fanbase, lots of national games. Even with a rebuild, they'll line up.
That said, I think Kelly is back next year. I think he wants one more shot with a QB that can actually run his system.

that's what's shocking to me.. it looked like Foles (for the first year) was that QB. In 10 games he threw 27 TDs and 2 INT in 2013.. then Chip decided to:
1) get rid of his WRs
2) get rid of him
3) get rid of his top 3 RB
4) get rid of one of their best OL
he replaced them with:
1) low production WRs
2) China-Doll Bradford who obviously doesn't fit his system
3) Murray who doesn't fit his system
4) next man in line
Everybody talks about this system, but the guys he's bringing in do not exactly FIT this system.
and it took a lot to get him out of New Hampshire, and the Bucs could not pry him loose of Oregon and then the Eagles initially failed to get him out of Oregon. He is not Saban or Petrino. His history is not one of leaving easily. I would be surprised if he left Philly, after only one year in control. He seems to be a person, whether he is good at it or not, that likes to build and create things. That he would give up this project after one year would mean that he is absolutely miserable, because it would go against the grain of his career.

I haven't followed him at all so let me ask this because I have no idea. Were any of those other situation one where most of the fans and media all turned on him and he faced open criticism, or was he liked and people wished for him to stay.
Some people can't handle criticism well and may act completely differently than they have in the past when faced with it to this degree.
But Kelly really seems to not care about what people think from all the profiles I have read of him. He is extremely private and doesn't really tell many people what is on his mind. The dude was married and nobody in the national media knew about that until this summer. My point is that guys like Shefter have no clue what they are talking about with him. He is a strange man.
God help us all if we lose this division to Washington or Dallas.
We need to capitalize. I think we are going to.
Oh please Sanchez give us a Butt fumble 2.
Seriously, If it did happen, I'd hate to see Sean Peyton take over there.
Oh please Sanchez give us a Butt fumble 2.
Did you not see the Seahawk/Cardinal game?
Wilson had the butt fumble 2, but nobody saw it.

It was from his interview on Sirius NFL radio this afternoon.
I think I'll keep the champagne on ice just a bit longer...
Fly Eagles, fly. Fly right into the jet engines of the Cowboys team jet.
I think I'll keep the champagne on ice just a bit longer...
How exactly does the one thing have anything to do with the other? We could be 0-10 and still be celebrating this.

You would have thought the Giants had the NFCE all wrapped up here on Nov 24th with 6 games to go.

celebrate what?
My point was simply this thread is discussing the demise of the Eagles and we have 6 games left to determine a division champ amongst all 4 teams.
And unless we have a 2 game lead going into that final game, I would not celebrate anything.
I don't see any way that's possible.

LOL....exactly right.
