Or did he leave Simone out there to take a long walk and think about things? His demeanor would imply she's in the ground (her words earlier in the episode being prophetic), but odd that they didn't show it when they're pretty graphic with the violence on that show.
The whole reason Rye Gerhadt was in the road when he got hit is because he saw/was memorized by a UFO that appeared in the field across from the diner.
I believe there was another UFO sighting in which the Indian sort of took it all in and embraced the presence.
Lastly, the Solverson daughter drew a family portrait with crayons and included a UFO type ship in the picture.
Gotcha...I now remember the UFO that Rye was looking at
but it is too soon to tell. She basically had her own family executed. She is a victim of the entire situation in many ways and never had much of a choice but it seems like she gone now, one way or another.
they're easy to miss, but at the same time they're impossible to overlook. Question is - are the UFO sightings relevant to the story, or are they a red herring? I don't know how they'd work them in, but the writers have done a great job up until now, I'm sure they'd find a good way to do so if they so choose.
it was Ed Blumquist's voice on the other end of the phone line. Pretty funny how the "Butcher of Leverne" went from a made up/embellishment to a fulfilling prophecy -- Ed is not fucking around/not trying to get killed or caught!!

I think he killed her, they didn't show it because I think they want you to wonder.
If he didn't kill her, they seemed to be in a pretty remote area and she wasn't dressed very warmly.
Even though the Betsy-Karl scene caused a salty discharge
Bear didn't punch up his truck afterwards because he didnt kill her
I tend to believe she was killed, but why do you think that would make a difference? He easily could have reacted that way because he didn't have it in him to finish the job.
That had to be some way to communicate with the aliens, right?
I'm assuming it's my guess, but it is just that... a guess.
There have been a few UFO mentions - a glimpse here and there. Looks like Ted Danson's been playing with aliens.

Also -- bigtime respect to Mike Milligan on taking out the Undertaker, that was sick
Looked like a Miller's Crossing tribute.

she did cause the death of multiple family members, he probably saved the life of a few more.
