The NFLN was awewome when it first started. It is amazing how much it has dropped. It has been like this for years now. When Sanders is the voice of reason then there is something way off.

LOL this is so very true...
Im watching the other day and they are talking about the resurgent Cowboys.. Im like they won ONE game.. They are 1 out of their last 8 games and the are resurgent???? really ???
MLB Network is by far the best network for one sport Â

Right? It was great...I loved it...now there's a bunch of guys doing their best wolf howl imitation....are they freakin kidding me? Turkey hats? Really?
on this as I did not see a thread on it but the lowest moment for a new low was about a week ago with Michael Irvin, Dion Sanders and the 3rd clown making fun of JPP's hand. They were laughing and being very jokingly suggestive like school kids. Clearly the most unprofessional regarding a tragic accident as I've ever seen on TV. It came across so bad that if the NFL had any balls they would have suspended all three for the remainder of the season. And they call themselves professionals? Disgusting!
Their Facebook page has become unbearable also, and I’m gonna soon unfollow it. Almost every post recently is about Romo and the Cowboys. “Hey, Guess what QB is 2-0 vs the 9-0 teams”? It also seems like they take a few jabs at other teams, even subtly putting down Peyton Manning insinuating that Brock Osweiler is the next GOAT.
I used to love watching the NFL Network the first couple of years it was on TV, the graphics and lower thirds were much better and much more basic. I noticed this when I see old footage from circa 2007-2008, I thought NFL Network was pretty unique. Now everything looks like it’s just another boring byproduct of ESPN. I used to watch NFL Network every single day back 2003-2011, but ever since they introduced that “NFL AM” (Pure fucking trash) I gave up on that show.
Sadly, I’d take those NFL Network guys over FOX NFL pregame (boring) and CBS (horrid) and ESPN Gameday (The WORST of the worst) with 16 guys trying to scream over one another. Ray Lewis? Trent Dilfer? Steve Young? You gotta be fucking kidding me. All Pregame shows are terrible but yeah, I’d have to side with NFL Network in this argument.
Interestingly the league is trying to get a tv partner to Â
Is too loud and injects way too much of himself into the broadcast. Why do guys like Simms and comlinsworth and whoever have to be so fucking loud and wordy? Every single play they boom forth loud poetic nonsense. To steal a quote from Tool -- "what became of subtlety"
It's ESPN, TNT Basketball crew, FOX Sports on Sundays. It's no longer about the actual sport or analysis of the games. It's all about the personalities and the back and forth between them. It's disgusting, but it's where we are in terms of sports television.
I will admit NFL Network crew is the worst. I can't watch ESPN anymore either.

The quality has dropped because the NFL network brought in a bunch of former ESPN suits into their ranks who bring the same bullshit with them. Remember, ESPN was a cash cow for many years. It would make sense that the NFL executives, who care pretty much only about the bottom line, would bring in former ESPN producers and the like to help increase ad revenue, eyeballs, etc. So you get...well...this.

It's not even back and forth anymore. They constantly talk (yell) over each other.
I'm strongly disagreeing. Both NFL and MLB are unwatchable. MLB has so many boring shows, and talk about overhype, could Dan Pleasac, Bill Ripken be anymore annoying?
The only good network is NHL Network, they do an excellent job of sticking to highlights, insights, and not over analysis.
It's unfathomable how any of you guys can stomach Â
the NFLN, ESPN or any of these pre-game shows. They are fucking utter trash. My TV goes on 30 seconds before kickoff and is shut off as soon as the clock hits 0.00

Same here, although I'll occasionally watch the highlights if the Giants win.

I woukd rather see five min of highlights from each game with little talking than three plays with the shitty analysis they give.
