I'm sure I'll take shit for this

But I have no hate for Romo. He's a very good QB and I hated seeing him go down again today. I feel bad for the guy.

Yep injuries are junk
It doesn't matter
AP in Halfmoon : 11/26/2015 9:45 pm : link
The Cowboys are done anyway
Their cap flexibility is shot
dpinzow : 11/26/2015 9:45 pm : link
Sometimes the Giants like to use the Bank of Eli to create cap room. Reese can do that because Eli is almost never injured. But Dallas can't do that with Romo because they might have to eat the last 2, possibly 3 years of Romo's deal with him not on the field (retired due to injuries or unable to physically play anymore)
Francessa and Aikman

Are sobbing right now. Wonder how Fat Mike will spin this now?

I'm with you. He's a good guy, who is a talented but flawed QB. He's too good for that shitty organization ran by that egomaniac. Hopefully Jones will trade for Johnny Football and allow Romo to go off to a contender.
DK why would you take crap for that?
Torrag : 11/26/2015 9:47 pm : link
Serious football fans don't root for injuries...except for a few deserving scumbags like Dawkins and Hardy.
I actually
halfback20 : 11/26/2015 9:47 pm : link
Feel bad for him. Don't like seeing anyone get hurt, especially as much as he has.
If Romo played for the Jags or Raiders or whoever
mfsd : 11/26/2015 9:48 pm : link
I'd not only appreciate him more, but probably even like him

But as one of the faces of the Cowboys, I feel nothing but joy for every bad thing that ever happens to him
Bummer

With two games left against the Skins it would have been better for us for him to stay healthy.
Seems like a good guy,
rebel yell : 11/26/2015 9:50 pm : link
a bit over-rated, but never want to see a guy's season end because of an injury. That said, doesn't make me feel sorry for the Cowboys. We've had our share of injuries too!

Francesa all but guaranteed a cowboys victory today.
Pretty sure
Shadow : 11/26/2015 9:53 pm : link
Cowboys will not win another game as Jerrah will try to get a top 5 pick.
Nothing but respect for him

I like Romo, too, and hated seeing him get hurt today.
bceagle05 : 11/26/2015 9:53 pm : link
You do have to wonder if he's going to give the Cowboys any more healthy seasons. These are serious injuries he's suffered in recent years, and football players don't suddenly become more durable as they age - quite the opposite.

The Cowboys have a lot of issues going forward: Romo's health, the running back position, Witten's age, the OL's regression this year, re-signing or replacing Greg Hardy (clearly a ticking time bomb), and Jerry Jones reverting back to some bad team-building habits. They're very much in "win now" mode and may have missed their chance last season.
If I was Kelly in Philadelphia
Shadow : 11/26/2015 9:56 pm : link
I'd lose the rest of the games there too.
Even if he takes the USC job the team needs picks
They butchered their
PEEJ : 11/26/2015 9:56 pm : link
chemistry when they let Murray go. They had a formula that worked and they blew it up
My guess is that Witten retires after this season
Ira : 11/26/2015 9:56 pm : link
ending the career of the best or one of the best tight ends ever to play.
Does Dallas make a move for Kaep?
robbieballs2003 : 11/26/2015 9:57 pm : link
They can draft a QB but they need someone there. What about trading for Cutler in the offseason? What other QBs would be available for them?
.
Danny Kanell : 11/26/2015 9:57 pm : link
That's a good point about the draft pick. I don't think the Cowboys are gonna win another game. 3-13 might get them the first pick and a franchise reboot.
Browns have 2 wins
Shadow : 11/26/2015 10:00 pm : link
Chargers,Titans, Ravens will all be there.
What's this
RIZZBIZZ : 11/26/2015 10:01 pm : link
Loving on Romo shit? He's just another in a long line of scrubs who couldn't replace Aikman.

It's always better to play winning football. A winning culture trumps a better draft position.

Kaepernick makes no sense for the Cows but does for the Iggles if Chip doesn't bail

Feel badly for Romo
natefit : 11/26/2015 10:09 pm : link
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported Romo "most likely" has a small fracture of his clavicle, although the quarterback would undergo a CT scan on Friday to make sure.

Kelly should do time the way he Butchered that Team

Pro bowl RB and WR
Another good WR
Good Olineman
Destroyed a 10 win team
The Defense is cracking big time
Yup Chip your a genius.

Injuries always suck
SethFromAstoria : 11/26/2015 10:11 pm : link
but I don't make a point to feel awful for anyone else, so I don't for a chief rival QB. He's a good dude and a great QB. That's about it. It's good for the GMen. Then its good by me
Jerrah has been lusting for Manziel
JohnF : 11/26/2015 10:13 pm : link
ever since the draft. Johnny Football would be a marketing godsend for Jones. And he fits the "I can turn around troubled players" mantra of that team.

I think they push hard to get him...If I were the Browns, I'd make them give up their 1st round choice. If it's not in the top 10, I think Dallas does that trade.
They'll draft
The_Boss : 11/26/2015 10:14 pm : link
Goff and hope he's the real deal. Jerry's been looking for a long term solution at QB and now is his chance.

Long term as in "post Romo".
That's wishful thinking
AP in Halfmoon : 11/26/2015 10:16 pm : link
He's no longer the pre-draft player. He's shown nothing in the NFL.

As long as they don't get Connor Cook I'll be pleased...I think Cook is the one franchise QB in this draft. Possibly Hackenberg but he's going through what David Carr did, just on the college level and he might be shell shocked

I used to HATE Romo when he was younger ... had that little smirk that made you just want to smack it off the side of his face.

But, over the years (with the back injuries and surgeries ... as well as other health problems) he has proven to be a warrior and a lot tougher than I first gave him credit for.

Not saying I like him ... but, at this point I respect him.
Much as hate to say it
old man : 11/26/2015 10:21 pm : link
Ditto Danny Kanell.
That was just sad.
I respect Romo..

have no hate for him. Hate to see him get hurt like that. Honestly, my real hate for the Cowboys is about Jerry Jones.
Actually

the Cowboys losing WITH Romo is even sweeter.
Romo: "See you in February Tom"

but not for the Cowboys. Jerruh is a joke.

In his post game press conference Romo was impressive.
I think there's gonna be a lot of...
Crispino : 11/26/2015 10:36 pm : link
questions asked about whether Jerry and the Cowboys rushed Romo back to try and salvage their sorry ass season.
Like?

My niece worked for him for a year and said he was one of the nicest, most down to earth athletes she's ever been around. She really liked him. He worked his butt off against long odds to get where he is.
This is, incredibly, bad for the Giants.
Mike in Long Beach : 11/26/2015 11:14 pm : link
Cowboys still play the Skins twice who are somehow our biggest threat.
I'm hoping jerrah cuts ties this offseason, trades for manziel

The way Romo looked the last two weeks, they are better off with Cassel.
Honestly
MetsAreBack : 11/26/2015 11:15 pm : link
Word is he has a small fracture in a non throwing shoulder

I'll save the hero worship. This is Dallas saving face with their fan base after they were embarrassed off the field today.

Eli and Favre laugh at such a scratch. Carry on.
