that the Giants get everything together and steamroll into the playoffs. I'm not interested in seeing them back in due to other opponents failures. I think they're on the cusp of being a pretty damn good team.
Someone posted a playoff probability calculator earlier today.
Giants win Sunday combined with the other 3 divisional teams losing gives them a 91% probability of winning the division. They've gotta capitalize on this.
Still worried about the foreskins. Even with a win over them, they have remaining games again a falling eagles team and two against the romoless cowgirls. Even up by two they have an easier five games.
It puts us squarely in the drivers seat for the division. Dallas is all but done with Romo injured.. no more talk of them running the table..
The Eagles are imploding. If Detroit hung that many points on them the Patriots will shred them. Mark Sanchez is their QB and they have zero idea of how to use Demarco Murray. Plus the distracting talk of Chip Kelly possibly being fired or going back to college cannot be helping them right now..
The Redskins to me need to be beaten on Sunday. The Redskins beating the Giants is not good. It gives them hope and confidence that they can win the division as it would out them in a tie for first place. Their remaining schedule is also teams they can beat.. Dallas twice.. The Eagles, Bills and Bears. They have the easiest schedule remaining. T

A win over WSH puts us effectively 3 games up on them with 5 to play (season sweep is the tiebreaker). They're dead if we beat them
puts us at 6-5 and Washington at 4-7. Since we would win any tiebreaker they would have to end up with a better record than us, which means they would need to win 3 games more than us
a playoff type of game. I would definitely feel a bit more comfortable with Pugh and Richburg in there. Reynolds and Jerry need to really step up their game. I'm most concerned about running the ball more so now, as neither one of those two are good run blockers. Jerry is a capable pass blocker and Reynolds has shown that he's a better center then Guard and so I'm hoping that this line can give us enough to win this game and hopefully, we can get Pugh and Fichburg back sooner then later.
we have to win this. I don't want to hear about the refs, injuries or any other bullshit after this game is over. The division is there for us to take if we want it badly enough.
We have also had two weeks to prepare for this team. No excuses. This offense better figure out a way to play a full game and Spags needs to fix this shit show of a defense and actually stop somebody.
The Eagles have more than just a pulse because it is the Giants who are standing in their way and we are not exactly a force at this point. If we lose to the Skins, then we are opening the door for them and the Eagles. We also have Carolina on our schedule too.
easy to say "no excuses" but when your two best offensive linemen are out, it affects your entire offense.
Stop. No fucking excuses. Outside of Hankins the entire D is healthy. Every wr rb and qb is healthy. The LT is healthy. Get it the fuck done. We have the best qb in the NFC right now. We need to win 4 games and we play 4 teams that are average at best or worse, 4 wins. Get it the fuck done.
I think The D is gonna play better down the stretch
i think what we've seen the last 2 on D weeks will continue here on out. JPP has had a tremendous impact. I also think we forgot that Spags was implementing a new system. It may have only taken 3 games to get hot in 2007 but this D obviously needed time to adjust. A lot of young talent on this D. It looks like they have finally settled down a bit.
We have the horses. The OL injuries suck but we can do this. It really looks like the bottom rung of the roster guys have got things sort of settled down and everyone knows their role. Just play smart here and close this out. Win the manageable games and let's host a playoff game.
I think we have the better team, but we know nothing is a slam dunk with this team. And our OL has been a pleasant surprise this year. John Jerry and Dallas Reynolds are nowhere near the quality of the guys who they are replacing. It's going to impact the game.
We need Eli and his receivers to play well, and for the defense to come on. We have to stop screwing up on special teams (New Orleans and Patriots games, it cost us dearly).
we have them EVERY YEAR. next man up. Figure it out or just fucking forfeit the rest of the games. This is the NFL and we are not the only team that has injuries.
How about this. We have a much better QB. The skins, the cowboys and the eagles are basically going with backup QBs for the rest of the season. Yes, Collins is a backup QB IMO.
If we cannot stop their offenses (with their backup QBs) and figure out a way to score against their average defenses, then WTF are we talking about?
(1) Kirk Cousins has played very well recently, including winning "Player of the Week" honors.
(2) The NYGs are still near the bottom of the NFL in team defense.
(3) Injuries DO MATTER, particularly on a team that did not have much depth to begin with.
I expect us to win, but it's simply foolish bravado to say "no excuses". The Washington Redskins are certainly talented enough to beat the Giants on Sunday.

I just hope that we come out looking to score through the air instead of running the ball. With Culliver's injury, I'm not sure how they cover Beckham. Throw to him all game.
People will go nuts suggesting they had no business losing this game. The reality is the Redskins have a very good chance to win. It's a huge game for them too.

So, based upon your #2 and #3, our season is over because our defense sucks and we have had injuries that we cannot overcome. Well, I would agree on this. Even if we manage to somehow in the division, this team is not going to do much of anything in the playoffs. We will be exposed for what we are when facing one of the better teams in the NFC.
need to get on the skins early. Get a lead and keep it
This is an Eli, OBJ, and Randle game. The Giants OL may have some holes in it this week, but the Redskin's secondary is suspect even when healthy, and they are banged up.
Game is going to be tough, but if the Giants execute and emphasize their strengths, they will be adding win #6 and taking a two game lead in the division.
No, that's not what I'm saying. If the Giants can win the NFC East, and they are the favorites now, they could do damage in the playoffs.
But the "no excuses" phrase has always bothered me. This is the NFL. Far worse Redskins teams beat better NYG teams in our last two Super Bowl seasons. Any NFL team can beat another.
We can win but some players will have to play pretty darn well in order to make up for our losses on the OL.
That's what I would do...pass, pass, pass in the early going...heavy to Beckham and Vereen. Also, I like the way Harris and Tye are coming on.
Tye could be the TE they've been looking for. He fits this offense.
He's a bit undersized, but with all things considered, he's been very good just being thrown into an offense from the practice squad (I think?) in the middle of the season.
Skins are going to be very tough this time around. Plus, Giants have shown the tendency to shoot themselves in the foot when golden opportunities are in their grasp.
NFC east game against a weaker opponent, up in the standings, a chance to shore up the division. The Giants really need to reverse the trend here and now. Take a commanding lead.
It's a much bigger game for the Skins. It's their season.
It is as big a game for the Giants. The difference between a win and a loss in THIS game can't overstated for either team. The winner will take the division lead and controls their own destiny. With the remaining schedules it would be unlikely that the Giants would overtake them. You have to assume that Washington would end up 4-2 in the division and the best the Giants could be is 3-3.
The Giants have the better QB/WR combo, superior coaching staff and are coming off a bye. I think the match ups favor the Giants with return of Prince as well. If the Giants gift Washington this game. . they are probably gifting them the division.
If the Giants don't match the redskins intensity..
Score first, keep making Cousins the one to have to make plays, maybe take advantage of a short field. A few decent plays by Eli/OBJ and go run into the locker-room with a 24-14 win.
RE: As good as the Giants feel about today's results
So do the Redskins. They now see a path to a division title as well. They'll be amped up for this game. Giants need to be ready.
Just to underscore this point. If the Redskins win on Sunday (I don't think they will, I think the Giants are mentally locked in for the finish) they very well could finish with a 5-1 division record. After this Sunday, they have three division games remaining. Two against the Romo-less and imploding Cowboys, and one against the Eagles, which are exhibiting all the traits of a team that has quit on its coach.
Sunday 1:00 is huge, and I have no doubt that the Giants know it. Eli is a big game player, OBJ loves the spot light. Yeah the OL has some holes this week, but this is the time for your big players to show up.
and it will feel a lot like 2010 or 2012. If they lose this their inability to beat the Eagles will again be the reason they are out of the playoffs. We'll have the added bonus of the team thinking a ten point lead on Dallas with under two mintes was a bad idea. They can put a lot of that to bed by winning Sunday.
We have had 2 weeks to prepare for no richburg or Pugh. We have a hof qb and coach. Time to get this done. A loss would be a huge, huge disappointment. We should be able to score at least 28 to 30 points. That should be more than enough
Still worried about the foreskins. Even with a win over them, they have remaining games again a falling eagles team and two against the romoless cowgirls. Even up by two they have an easier five games.
I think the Cowboys now have a better chance with Matt Cassel than they had with a beat up Romo, Cassel didn't look at all bad in the few games I saw him play...

I'm going to be extra stitious this weekend!
