...what an underrated band. I have a boxed set of all of Sly & Family Stones albums and listened to a lot of the later discs on a road trip to FLA in September and they have a ton of innovative music that was ahead of its time besides all the big hits we oldsters know so well.

Last time I saw Cynthia was at BB Kings WITH Sly and Jerry. One of my musical hilights ever. She brought it like usual, and Sly was both WITH it and awesome for the first show. He even did an impromptu jam. Unreal.
She was a great woman, always with a smile and a hello.
RIP Cynthia. You were not only a legend, but the real spirit in one of the greatest bands of all time.
