Wow, what an ass. Is this guy for real?
If you ask me, this is a comment warrants a banning. Totally unacceptable.
HeadHunter is an abrasive asshole. Also, the sky is blue. News at 11.
That seems like the most obvious scenario!
Let's call if for what it is an horrendous act from an evil, evil person.

Exactly. We really had to wait to see what kind of person did this? Really? Planned Parenthood funding might be the cause of a government shutdown next month, the right has been using this as an issue to galvanize the crazies on their side and we have to "wait to find out all the facts" as to who did this and what the motivation was?
I'm sure it had NOTHING to do with all that or the highly edited misleading videos that the right has feigned disgust over.
Every 25 years, pffffft!!!
We should do it every year and track the standings like we do with the NFL.
First place baby, whose gonna go out and grab it!
Depends in how far you want to go back, doesn't it?
That being said, some people on this site just can't help themselves. Always with an agenda. Kudos
I assume that was to me? I never said you should be banned. I am curious what the registration date has to do with pointing out a despicable post. There's no date on common decency.
Evil is evil, folks and sometimes some people don't need any other motive but evil intentions or the result of years of bad treatment and trauma to just lose it. People snap. Black people, white people, rednecks, liberals and Christians and atheists can all can snap at some point. So maybe we ought to worry a little more about people and do more for them than keep trying to pass yet more laws about guns. The many laws we have now are working so well, huh??
Right, we know who has the toughest gun laws in the country and what their crime situation is.
My opinion on the topic is this....
Gun OWNERSHIP/PURCHASE laws should not be managed by state and should be federal. One set of laws that are applied to every state to prevent someone from buying a gun at a yard sale in Alabama and then driving those guns to another state for re-sale.
Unlawful use of a gun laws are what need to be amped up. Violent crimes with a gun gets you locked up forever with no parole. At the same time, reduce the sentences for lesser crimes (like smoking weed) to free up space for these serious offenders.
Unlawful use - IMO this would extend to the person who owns the gun in the event that the gun was given to a friend, taken from your closet by your kid, etc. Lock it up or be prepared to do the time....forever.
Truly abhorrent mind you have there Headhunter.

I was with you until the last sentence. There are laws broken every day. Murder, theft, rape, going over the speed limit, etc. Should we get rid of all laws . Didn't congress vote down a bill to make it harder for a suspected terrorist to get a gun. Same thing with gun free zones. Chicago, Baltimore, Denver etc are not islands thousands of miles away from the other gun friendly states.

Yes, because Congress knows that the terrorists will always get guns and something like this just limits law abiding citizens from getting them. We have gun coming over the border every day. Our government knows this which is why the "Fast & Furious" initiative was originally put in place. They sent weapons down south and wanted to see how long it would take before they started showing up on our side of the border again.
Not saying this guy is a terrorist as much as a nut job but (evil idiot) but what's irritating me is how the media refers to these (evil idiot) terrorists as "masterminds". Seriously, if you have a weapon and use it against an unsuspecting person you're not a mastermind, you're a coward.
That example goes against your argument. After 9-11 Congress passed a law making it more difficult for a terrorist to take over a commercial plane. No attack of that magnitude has taken place since.
Good one!
Such a punk

You are correct.
"Revenge" killings are absolutely not a Christian teaching.
This guy might very well be mentally ill, and that might even be the proximate cause of his actions, but I would point out that a true Christian Fundamentalist wouldn't just be taking the New Testament into account when weighing the morality of a given action.

The point I was trying to make is that it pisses me off when someone who claims to be a Christian goes out and commits a horrific crime that flies directly against the teachings of the Person they claim to follow.

I would submit that a great many Muslins feel the same exact way...]
Robert Lewis Dear, 57, left behind few clues about his motive, police said, and those who knew him said he seemed to have few religious or political leanings.
"If you talked to him, nothing with him was very cognitive - topics all over place," said James Russell, who lives a few hundred feet from Dear in Black Mountain. A cross made of twigs hung Saturday on the wall of Dear's pale yellow shack
[...]
Dear's cabin is a half-mile up a curvy dirt road about 15 miles west of Asheville, North Carolina. He also had a trailer in the nearby town of Swannanoa.
Other neighbors knew Dear but didn't want to give their names because they said they were fearful he might retaliate.
Russell and others said the only companion they saw with Dear was a mangy dog, who looked to be in such bad shape they called animal control because they worried he was beating it.

Yes because religious fanatics never twist the words of their "God".
The Old Testament is part of the holy book of the religion the person claims to follow is it not?
He voted as a woman. This may be only case of voter fraud committed by an anti Obama voter.

Religion, as the fundamentalists will tell you, is about having a personal relationship with God.
And, if God speaks to someone, how do distinguish that from batshit crazy? There are 7 billion individuals on this planet. God might say anything to any one of them at any given moment.
Point being, there is no religious test for sanity.

Moderate and liberal Christians also claim to have a relationship with God. In fact, often, that relationship is considered central to their religious convictions, and it allows them to ignore the sillier and crazier elements of Christianity, while still calling themselves Christians.

Of course. Everyone gets to have a personal relationship with God. Everyone from every relious tradition, sect and mental condition. That's my point.

white Christian fundamentalist? I'm watching the news and they have not given out any information on the shooter. They aren't even sure if PP was the target or just where he wound up.
I'm sure he just "wound up" at Planned Parenthood.
You're not sure of anything because local, state and federal law enforcement on the scene aren't sure of the details.
You may be right, but then again you may be completely off base...
But the sources stressed that Dear said many things to law enforcement and the extent to which the "baby parts" remark played into any decision to target the Planned Parenthood office was not yet clear. He also mentioned President Barack Obama in statements.
NBC - ( New Window )
The attack on the clinic was “definitely politically motivated,’’ the official — who has been briefed on the investigation and spoke on condition of anonymity because it is still unfolding — told The Washington Post. NBC News, which first reported the comment attributed to suspect Robert Lewis Dear, said Dear also mentioned President Obama in a range of statements to investigators that left unclear his precise motivation in targeting the clinic.

Dear, 57, was being held without bond at the El Paso County Jail. He was expected to make his first court appearance Monday.
The source said Dear has been cooperating with investigators since he was arrested. But throughout the interrogation, sources said Dear has been behaving erratically.
In addition, investigators have interviewed the suspect's family members, who have described him as "weird" and "unpredictable."
Sources also said the long rifle Dear allegedly used Friday wasn't the only weapon he had with him and that Dear took several guns and ammunition to the scene as well.
Law enforcement sources also said there were propane tanks outside his car. Investigators believe his intent was to fire on the propane tanks to spark an explosion, which in the end he was not able to do.
