I turn my back to the wind
To catch my breath
Before I start off again.
Driven on without a moment to spend
To pass an evening with a drink and a friend

I let my skin get too thin
I'd like to pause
No matter what I pretend
Like some pilgrim
Who learns to transcend
Learns to live as if each step was the end

(Time stand still)
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
(Time stand still)
See more of the people and the places that surround me now
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each sensation a little bit stronger
Experience slips away
Experience slips away

I turn my face to the sun
Close my eyes
Let my defences down
All those wounds that I can't get unwound

I let my past go too fast
No time to pause
If I could slow it all down
Like some captain, whose ship runs aground
I can wait until the tide comes around

(Time stand still)
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
(Time stand still)
See more of the people and the places that surround me now
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each impression a little bit stronger
Freeze this motion a little bit longer
The innocence slips away
The innocence slips away...

Summer's going fast, nights growing colder
Children growing up, old friends growing older
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each sensation a little bit stronger
Experience slips away
Experience slips away...
The innocence slips away

To our boy Pganut. Lets go Islanders. Stromer is back.

We're with you PGA.

Strome in for Bernier. Halak in goal. All else remains the same.
Thanks bro

Stop sucking, islanders. I need you to be good. It's not enough just to root against the rangers.

Love,
Ron
Bad break
pganut : 11/27/2015 7:54 pm : link
Low shot hit a stick and flipped up over Halak. Isles L3 in particular looks energized. Keep getting ppucks at the net.
Intensity was there in the first 5 minutes
pganut : 11/27/2015 8:16 pm : link
Since then, not so much. FLA are the ones coming in waves, Isles on their heels. Isles too many turnovers as well. They are seemingly not prepared for - or expecting - the pressure from Florida. We need to wax these trailer park bastards.
No rhythm in the first period
timintey : 11/27/2015 8:23 pm : link
...and Zidlicky and Strait still suck!!!
Wow
Fish : 11/27/2015 8:39 pm : link
Suck
Nice clear out Bailey
timintey : 11/27/2015 8:40 pm : link
Jesus Christ!!!
Isles doing real well
pganut : 11/27/2015 8:42 pm : link
In making this Florida team of Jerry's Kids look like a real team. Who don't deserve to win anything given there are what, 50 or so fans there?
Grabbo
Fish : 11/27/2015 8:42 pm : link
Having great game. Not.
Watching on my iPad which is probably 2-3 minute behind live.
BlueHurricane : 11/27/2015 8:44 pm : link
We look like shit. Something has to give. This organization is supposed to be moving forward and everything about this season so far seems like a step back.
They need to
Fish : 11/27/2015 9:04 pm : link
Figure out how to play hockey. These pretty passes suck.
Absolutely no one has a nose for the goal
timintey : 11/27/2015 9:06 pm : link
and no one takes the open shot!!! Wake up!!!!
Hey...
pganut : 11/27/2015 9:10 pm : link
...remember last season when we skated with confidence, controlled the puck, made pinpoint, accurate passes (ex: Rangers game) and mopped the floor with teams with some frequency? Good times. This team does not resemble last year's in virtually any way. Maybe instead of starting fast as last season's team did, this year's version hits their stride in January instead of falling off like the previous version. Perhaps by then, we'll have a new staff and players who regain a sense of urgency.

The scariest part to me is how well they played in the last game. Makes it difficult to have confidence that this team is capable of stringing together a few wins in a row. If they can play that well and then play this shitty just like that, why would any big win mean anything moving forward?

So disappointing, but I suppose this is what happens when you get close, but as an organization, keep players and coaches involved that held you back from being great in the past.
Garbage effort
Patrick : 11/27/2015 9:21 pm : link
Just going through the motions.

You'd think there would be some spark left after the Philly game. Nope just another Florida vacation for Jack & Co.
Strome
Patrick : 11/27/2015 9:26 pm : link
Pretty invisible out there so far.
All I know
pganut : 11/27/2015 9:26 pm : link
Is with Ledecky and Malkin taking majority ownership next year, and assuming no changes between now and season's end, I'd be very worried if I was Capuano (and to a lesser extent, Snow; while he's made good moves, remember the Isles also have George McPhee in the fold). But the constant two steps forward, one step back aspect of this year's squad points to a change that needs to be made. Including jettisoning underperforming players (ex: Bailey, Strait, Zid).
Strome!!!
timintey : 11/27/2015 9:31 pm : link
welcome back
Stromer!

Let's go islanders!!
2-2 wooo!!
Head-scratcher....
pganut : 11/27/2015 9:45 pm : link
Yet another opponent (through 56 minutes) who has somehow avoided taking a penalty - for the entire game - against the Isles. Not one. Strange, eh?

He almost didn't shoot it.

I saw that, too. When he had the "best" chance, he pulled it back and I was screaming. Staple actually thinks he was trying to pass when it went in off Pirri.
Love Matty Marts

Will go with anyone!
If the isles have a PK for this

I haven't seen the replay but I agree totally with your first part. He waited so long... Whether or not it was a shot, he passed up on the best opportunity he had. I'll take the bounce :)
Wow!
timintey : 11/27/2015 9:56 pm : link
great save by Luongo
KO with a golden opportunity
timintey : 11/27/2015 9:59 pm : link
and shatters his stick...
Comically bad decisionmaking with the puck
pganut : 11/27/2015 10:05 pm : link
By the Isles. This is amateur level stuff.
We sure do play some ugly hockey sometimes.
BlueHurricane : 11/27/2015 10:05 pm : link
holy hell.
It all started with that stupid attempted touch pass by KO
pganut : 11/27/2015 10:06 pm : link
Just get it to the point on the OT PP, stupid.
Atrocious
