Can the Eagles still make a run at the division title? It sure looks bleak considering the way they've played the last two weeks. And its hard to see how things get any better for the Genius Kelly with a trip to Foxborough where Hoodie and Tom Terrific are once again chasing perfection. The Bills are a tough out, even with the dirty birds playing at home in front of all their knuckle dragging felonious fans you know Sexy Rexy will have his Bills all lathered up for their shot at another butt fumble. Then Philly gets some heavy bird on bird action when the high flying Arizona Cardinals come to the city that boos Santa Claus. Then a home division game with the Washington team that isn't a top tier team but that Washington team will probably be playing for their own shot at the division title. Then on to see us at the Snop.
Aside from the heartbreaking loss they'll almost certainly deal our beloved Big Blue, there are no easy games in front of the beleaguered Eagles. But stranger things have happened so I wonder: are the Eagles done?
Boo yah!
They've quit on their coach.
I can only hope the Giants realize how huge this game is for them on Sunday.
Sanchez didn't seem to be quite as bad with the Jets as he seems to be now. Maybe Chip's offense is to blame? Sanchez was an "average" never to be great QB. Now he quite frankly sucks.

Sanchez is the same guy, but they run so many plays that it's just more chances for him to have a killer turnover. Just like with the Jets. And the sam has quit around him. They're done, but I smell a very close game against the Pats.
I don't think the Eagles are made of the same stuff as that Giants team, but until they're dead and buried I'll assume nothing.

Once CHip's offense gets bad and they're getting three and outs that take up 20 seconds and send an exhausted defense back out...they were done.
Now report after report makes it sound like Murray is lying down on him and tripping over grass and sliding like a QB...that tells it all too.
Funny thing is I wrote all that in preseason and then saw them in Preseason and thought they looked great.
Chip's system is flawed, he didn't understand teh fragility of the Professional. Run more plays than the opposition in game after game and you suffer for it. Run five basic plays in the pros and they catch on.
I don't think they win a game the rest of the way and we beat the heck out of them at the end.
The Redskins played and beat the Giants in week 13 and went on a tear to finish the season and win the division. Meanwhile the Giants blew a couple of games that they were favored win down the stretch and ended up missing the playoffs altogether.
It doesn't look good at all for the Eagles or Redskins right now, but we've seen crazier things happen in recent history. This division could still likely come down to what happens in Week 17.
In this division, it's not over til the fat lady sings.
I can only hope the Giants realize how huge this game is for them on Sunday.
And knowing the history of the giants, they're more than likely make things harder than they should be in situations like these. Giants make you say wtf?
What he is referring to is Kelly's system and how if it gets shut down as it often does puts so much pressure on his defense. You see it game in and game out. The columnist goes on to say instead of trying to slow things down Kelly's philosophy to fix the problem is speed things up.
Does this sound like a brilliant tactition? He spends his whole column tearing down everything the guy stands for and how it does not work at the NFL level and through rose colored states his brilliance. If the guy was so brilliant and innovative he would find a way to make his system work at the NFL level.
This isn't college. This is the NFL. You run the same basic plays game in and game out the league will conspire against you and shut you down. Hie philosophy is to run as many plays as you can to catch the defense out of position and not allow them to substitute. His quarterbacks have no time at the line to change the play if the defense is the right one for that play. Plus he runs the same 5 or 6 plays all game long.
He's brilliant alright. He's also stupid if he doesn't try to adapt to what he NFL has already done. Figured out how to shut his offense down.
It almost reminds me of those Colts team with Peyton Manning, really in his prime. They could almost score at will, and his defense could play well enough to just get a win. But, if the offense isn't working, that creates a ton of pressure on the defense that probably can't handle it.
Really, Chip in the GM role has failed Chip the coach. But, he's unlikely to strip himself of that power, which is why people believe he's out.
2009: Coughlin's lost this team. there will be a carry over..
2013-2014: It's time to clean house. Make the playoffs in 2015 or TC's gone..TBD
I've heard this shit too often..It sells papers or results in clicks..
We shall see..Again.
Yes but now several Eagles players have just quit on Kelly. I expect the Giants to beat Philly next time around by two scores.

I don't think the Giants' stretch of 1-5 over 6 games was remotely akin to the Eagles' last two loses. So IMO that's a lousy analogy, or at least a very poorly thought out one, for so many reasons I really don't want to get into the details. Two simple points I will mention are that the Giants lost to some of the best teams in the league during that "bad" stretch, including the 9ers and Packers whom they later beat in the playoffs. Also in the past 2 Eagles' loses the total margin of defeat was considerably more than the margin of defeat in all 5 Giants' loses in 2011.
I get your point Terps, but don't think that was a relevant example of how the NFL can surprise.
Let them win a game first. They have a number of players that have flat out quit on the season...
Can you imagine the reaction on BBI if the Eagles or Cowboys win the NFC East?

I'll be the first one in the bell tower with a bolt action! But it's not happening. I still think we stumble our way to the division title. What a miserable division.
