With a win tmw the Giants likely win the NFC east...

OBJ_AllDay : 11/28/2015 2:42 pm
And still expect 3-5 threads on James friggin jones. Meanwhile Eli is having a career year and the offense has been held to under 24 points I think twice all season. I'm convinced these people who can't let it go at this point are just trolling. Apparently the better way of doing things is signing washed up old players like the jets were doing with ladanian and burress. First place but still gotta complain about something huh?
Yes but a loss

puts is tied with a Washington team who will have a much easier schedule than us and may also cost us the tiebreaker.

We are not playing with house money here.
4 of 5 losses are by combined 9 points

Team had been competitive all season and has been for the most part really fun to watch. A nice work in progress. They learn how to keep their foot on a teams throat and finish the job, will make for a fun winter.

Let's hope it begins tomorrow.
the giants never like to make it easy on themselves over the years

nothing is a given with this team. a loss put the giants right back in the thick of it.
The offense has to learn to run out the clock

becaues the defense ain't stopping anything in the 4th quarter
LOL!

You guys just keep bringing it up. Whats the big deal it was a mistake cutting him its all right.
And a loss makes it an uphill fight
Reale01 : 11/28/2015 3:59 pm : link
We would have to finish with a better record than Washington. Would need to finish 4-1 to win or 3-2 and "hope".

Not house money at all
Probably
jeff57 : 11/28/2015 4:01 pm : link
I think they'd only have to win 2 of the last 5. 8-8 should do it.
This is the biggest game of the season

Gotta hope they rise to the occasion.

You must have anger issues. Sorry you choose to express them this way.

na, he's right. You are as bad as richinhouston with this nonsense. Going into the year anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together would be happy that this team has not only been competitive but has only lost what 1 game by more than 3 points? And had the lead in all of them but 1 in the 4th quarter.

of the Giants the "Tallest Midget" is about 9'. Not too shabby my friend.
Maybe I should start reading

EVERY4YEAR's threads again to get my daily dose of CoolAid, lol.
The entire NFL is littered with crappy divisons
djm : 11/28/2015 6:31 pm : link
The afc east has the pats and little else. Afc south is an abomination. Afc central is one of the better ones and it only boasts two teams worth anything. NFC central is good too but now the packers are fading. NFC south is hot garbage after the panthers. NFC west? Arizona and the corpse of Seattle.

The Giants won't have to apologize to anyone if they can win the greatest division in sports (historic) and they will be a tough team to deal with in January. Every division kinda sucks.

Which is another way of saying they lose the close ones, a hallmark of bad/mediocre NFL teams for decades. I don't know the average margin of victory for the NFL as a whole but its not alot. Close games are the norm and the good teams win them and the bad teams lose them.
If they make it to the dance
spike : 11/28/2015 7:13 pm : link
there is no NFC team that we should fear but ourselves.

Been there, done that.

Carolina, Minnesota and Arizona don't have the playoff experience. Also the Packers and a no 6 seed (likely Buccaneers or Falcons)

Whaa? Carolina and Zona was in last years playoffs and Minny in 2012.
First of all, if we win it is far from over.

The papers say we would have to "collapse". How silly. We are more than capable of losing every game we have left. If this team plays as it has for the last ten years we will lose tomorrow. Either a heartbreaker due to some brain damaged malfeasance, or more likely, a complete beatdown, like the Packers game we needed in 10, or the Ravens game in I think 12. We never make it easy on ourselves. Whether we win tomorrow or fuck it up will come down to the heart wrenching end of the season. I guarantee it.

always been a "Giants way" no matter what team since being a fan of theirs.
Exactly,
Glover : 11/28/2015 8:30 pm : link
as many have said, the Giants never win the game that would give them a cushion in the division. This game sets up just that way. They should win this game, but the Giants pass D is the second to worst in the league and Kirk can do damage to average to below average defenses. This game will be a shoot out I think, and the Giants could end up losing because they don't possess the ball last. I think they will win, but I'm not overly confident given the Giants propensity to lose games like this that would provide them comfort in the standings. They tend to play down to the competition in situations like this.

And even if the Giants won their first 2 games like they should have, and were 7-3, it doesnt change the fact that cutting James Jones and keeping Preston Parker was one of the worst personnel decisions in Giants history. James Jones catches TDs, Preston Parker is not in the league.

I wonder if Eli had input on the decision.
