But never should have come to this. Mind numbing - Mind numbing stupidity to call timeout with two timeouts the ball and the clock stopped at 33 seconds
Ha ha. Ya know, one of the things about The Play is that the Stanford FG that should have won that game snapped with only :04 left. Yet somehow only 2 seconds went off the clock, leaving Cal time for its kickoff return through the Band.
Whatever they call it now BCS bowl. I think they do - two last second losses against two likely conference champions on the road. They had a great year considering the injuries. Just a shame tonight was ruined by horrific clock management and I think the replay officials (pac 12?) missed an easy call of player being down at 1 foot line too. Odd.
Don't know if chasing points really made a difference or not
I mean I recognize most here find you to be a sad joke but you were scared of 3-7 Dallas. Did you talk to your family on thanksgiving or were you chewing your nails the entire afternoon? So sad
RE: The question now is if they deserve a major bowl

Kizer has been known for brain farts and might as well get everyone settled down. Not having a timeout to use is what caused Kizer's first half brain fart.
- Kizer turnover
- Carlisle drop
- end of half Stanford TD drive
- Kelly's MORONIC decision to go for 2
- Rochell facemask

Hard to overcome all of that.
I don't think it was a bad TO either. They hadn't scored in the red zone all night.
otherwise Ohio State will sneak back into the playoff. The rankings are going to look something like this:
1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma
4. Iowa
5. Michigan State
6. Ohio State
7. Stanford
8. Florida State
9. North Carolina
10. TCU
I'd imagine UNC would argue for a playoff spot if they beat Clemson. They'll have won 12 straight in that scenario, with their only loss to South Carolina (a bad loss, but it was the first week). The problem UNC faces is that their schedule is very weak, including their conference schedule (no game vs. FSU to help them)

You're the dumbfuck who called this the "sports weekend from hell". As I pointed out, Dallas and Philadelphia were beaten badly. How a giants could say that at that point of the weekend is beyond me. ND losing just made it even better.
I can't imagine a better weekend. Well I guess if Ohio state, FSU, Alabama, and NC, and clemson lost it would be even better but you can't have it all.
Philly losing was fine but more than offset by Notre Dame's terrible loss (yet again my team can't manage a clock to save its life), and the Rangers losing 3x in regulation over a 4 day period.
Shitty sports weekend. Giants better salvage it today.
I thought Stanford was worse with clock management. I am not nor have I ever been impressed with Shaw. Dont see why he gets NFL love.
Really? Dallas and Philly get crushed and you call it that?
HAHAHAHA! What a joke.

Call it payback.

yes they deserve a New Years' 6 bowl, no question

- Carlisle drop
- end of half Stanford TD drive
- Kelly's MORONIC decision to go for 2

Sugar Bowl is Big 12/SEC so that is going to be Baylor/TCU vs. either Florida or Ole Miss
Think ND will see Ohio State in the Fiesta as long as the chalk holds (Clemson wins, Alabama wins)
You're a Fucking idiot.

It would be:
Giants win
Dallas loses
Philly loses
Washington loses
Hurricanes win
Notre Dame loses
