why not having a conference championship should hurt ND when comparing against B12, they have played a more difficult schedule than they would have if they were in the b12. Isn't that what should matter?
come into tonight with the same 10-1 record. And OSU's loss is to a better Big 12 team (Baylor vs Texas for Oklahoma).
So why is Oklahoma ranked #3 and OSU #11. Why might OSU not get into top 4 with a win tonight?
Because Oklahoma scheduled Tennessee as an out of conference game while OSU played nobody.
Tennessee isn't a particularly good team but the SEC runs the rankings show and places a high value on its own teams.
you've hit the nail on the head for one of my biggest complaints about CFB in general (even with the playoff)...many times it seems like it doesn't matter who you lose to or how you lose, but only *when* you lose...
put pretty clearly, OU's L came much earlier than OSU's so they were afforded the chance to make ground back up.
scoring opportunities with just mind numbing self inflicted shit like they did against Clemson. All he has to do is throw the ball through the back of the endzone
After that Kizer long run I turned to my brother in law and said
pissed away at least 7 points with 2 dumb plays. At least not as bad as clemson game yet, where they left about 4 touchdowns on the board through their own stupidity
it's not going to matter because somehow some dumb fucks will look at Oklahoma's resume and think its better than ND's. Yet they will fail to realize the Big 12 sucks balls and they never play anyone out of conference so they always wind up with 3 teams in contention in the end. Somehow TCU against a backup QB and winning by 1 is a quality win. OK State sucks balls but they will be looked at as a quality win.
ND loses by 2 in a monsoon to the #1 team in the country on the road and somehow Oklahoma with a loss to an awful Texas team on a neutral field will get in over them if both of these scores hold true
They beat Baylor, TCU and Maybe OK State (play tonight).

i think its absurd and always have.
Don't know how we'll pull this off but would love to pair up Fuller with Odell
Well I hope that he changes his mind if there is a chance we can draft him because Odell + Fuller would murder most teams

ND could easily lose this game and make this a moot point, but it still makes my blood boil

Better than Ok State maybe but not TCU
