ND wins, OU loses...things might get interesting.

But the Irish need to take care of business. Go Irish!

I Was Surprised to Hear...

That OK might get in over ND even if ND beats Stanford. One loss on the road against the #1 team still doesn't get you in the top 4?
Players to watch for draft
superspynyg : 11/28/2015 7:29 pm : link
ND Lber Jaylon Smith and Stanford rb/kr MCCaffrey (letter rounds).

They beat Baylor, TCU and Maybe OK State (play tonight).
ND not having a conference championship
B in ALB : 11/28/2015 7:31 pm : link
works against them according to the selection committee standards. As it should.
Joe Schmidt
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 7:37 pm : link
is awful. Get him off the field
Oklahoma and OSU
shyster : 11/28/2015 7:41 pm : link
come into tonight with the same 10-1 record. And OSU's loss is to a better Big 12 team (Baylor vs Texas for Oklahoma).

So why is Oklahoma ranked #3 and OSU #11. Why might OSU not get into top 4 with a win tonight?

Because Oklahoma scheduled Tennessee as an out of conference game while OSU played nobody.

Tennessee isn't a particularly good team but the SEC runs the rankings show and places a high value on its own teams.
I dont understand
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 7:42 pm : link
why not having a conference championship should hurt ND when comparing against B12, they have played a more difficult schedule than they would have if they were in the b12. Isn't that what should matter?
how in the world
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 7:43 pm : link
did they not review that. He was a full yard short by the time he got his feet down
LOL.
SanFranNowNCGiantsFan : 11/28/2015 7:47 pm : link
How is that a TD?
How the hell did they miss that offsides call???

Very

impressive drive by Stanford.

that was a nice return
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 7:53 pm : link
but that was also an awful kick.
Wow. Untouched..

AP in Halfmoon : 11/28/2015 7:54 pm : link
Than a drive but I'm rooting for Stanford
ND DL getting pushed around early
nyjuggernaut2 : 11/28/2015 7:57 pm : link
not a good sign.
That's a catch

Joe Schmidt

At least they called that offsides

you've hit the nail on the head for one of my biggest complaints about CFB in general (even with the playoff)...many times it seems like it doesn't matter who you lose to or how you lose, but only *when* you lose...

put pretty clearly, OU's L came much earlier than OSU's so they were afforded the chance to make ground back up.

i think its absurd and always have.
This is looking like a Big 12 game so far
nyjuggernaut2 : 11/28/2015 8:16 pm : link
Each team getting 5-10 yards a pop.
would have been nice
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 8:22 pm : link
to get the gift spot to turn a 4th down into a 1st down like Stanford got on 1st drive
Kizer
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 8:25 pm : link
also can't get gunshy, he had Brown wide open for a touchdown and pulled it to run on 1st down
These officials might as well be wearing

Stanford jerseys.
ND shredding Stanford's defense
dpinzow : 11/28/2015 8:43 pm : link
like they don't exist with a backup QB and a 3rd string tailback
48
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 8:45 pm : link
never even remotely came close to getting back onsides and they somehow didn't call it. His entire body was in the neutral zone.
that tackle

should be shown to young kids everywhere. Absolutely perfect
Fuller

Don't know how we'll pull this off but would love to pair up Fuller with Odell
Fuller could change his mind
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 8:54 pm : link
but he already said he's coming back for senior year a couple weeks ago
that's just pathetic
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 8:55 pm : link
defense to let him run by you, he's not fast

Well I hope that he changes his mind if there is a chance we can draft him because Odell + Fuller would murder most teams
pathetic
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 8:56 pm : link
Against this trash bag QB that is Kevin Hogan. Make a fucking tackle
mind numbing
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 9:01 pm : link
throw it away.
Kizer
SanFranNowNCGiantsFan : 11/28/2015 9:02 pm : link
Another turnover.
pissing away
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 9:03 pm : link
scoring opportunities with just mind numbing self inflicted shit like they did against Clemson. All he has to do is throw the ball through the back of the endzone
After that Kizer long run I turned to my brother in law and said
nyjuggernaut2 : 11/28/2015 9:04 pm : link
that he better not do anything stupid. SOB
they've
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 9:06 pm : link
pissed away at least 7 points with 2 dumb plays. At least not as bad as clemson game yet, where they left about 4 touchdowns on the board through their own stupidity
yet another self inflicted wound
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 9:30 pm : link
wide open for a touchdown and he drops it
now 11 points
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 9:31 pm : link
just completely pissed away.
ND defense needs a 3 and out.
SanFranNowNCGiantsFan : 11/28/2015 9:33 pm : link
.
even if ND wins
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 9:36 pm : link
it's not going to matter because somehow some dumb fucks will look at Oklahoma's resume and think its better than ND's. Yet they will fail to realize the Big 12 sucks balls and they never play anyone out of conference so they always wind up with 3 teams in contention in the end. Somehow TCU against a backup QB and winning by 1 is a quality win. OK State sucks balls but they will be looked at as a quality win.

ND loses by 2 in a monsoon to the #1 team in the country on the road and somehow Oklahoma with a loss to an awful Texas team on a neutral field will get in over them if both of these scores hold true
USC
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 9:39 pm : link
is a better win than either TCU or OK State, but somehow it wont be looked at that way.

ND could easily lose this game and make this a moot point, but it still makes my blood boil
letting slow
MookGiants : 11/28/2015 9:40 pm : link
as shit wide receivers run by you is pathetic
Oklahoma walloping Ok St 35-10
