I like his vision and patience when he gets his hands on the ball. I don't think that I have seen him catching any passes coming out of the backfield but do seem to recall that he picked up a couple of blitzes in good order.

Here's hoping that we have a diamond in the rough.

Coughlin's first priority is to make sure that his RBs know the protections so that Eli does not end up getting killed.
Nobody here knows whether Darkwa has a full grasp of his blocking assignments.

Jennings - looks like Brandon Jacobs tip toeing around, he flat out sucks and the only time he bust a run out is when the OL creates 6' wide hole for him.

Williams - unimpressive, looks a tad better this year but he just bowling balls right into our OL guys backs, wtf is he doing?

Darkwa - moves like Jennings but doesn't run into people's backs. He actually cuts around them. Looks like he could be the real deal

Vareen - Get this guy the ball more, enough said.


Overall pick someone and let him lead the backfield. This 4 man rotation doesn't let anyone get into rhythm. Keep Vareen and Darkwa in until they are exhausted.

Much quicker than the other guys and hits the hole with authority.

Imho as they get to the playoffs I believe he gets more touches. In the past playoff runs they start funelling what works best to the field. He will get even better as the season goes on. If he is the stud we believe he is, he will be completely rested going in and hopefully way more carries.

Andre Williams is worthless. He has 18 more carries than Vereen this season yet 10 less yards. 2.8 per carry. The guy doesn't deserve to be on an NFL roster.

Andre Williams has factored less and less in the game plan with each passing week. He's stuck around for so long because he is exactly what Coughlin looks for in a RB.... Big, runs north south, can break. But I think they realize he isn't what they thought he'd be in terms of dynamics.

Vereen is being used as he should be. He is not a back you want getting a workload.

Would love to see Darkwa get aaachance down the stretch

Vereen doesn't have great vision on hand-offs, especially inside the tackles.

I don't get the hate for Jennings. He's competent.

to think it's political but perhaps a Practice Player like Darkwa out shining a free agent acquisition like Jennings is somewhat embarrassing to some folks in the organization So Jennings is given every opportunity to keep his contract before his job is lost to Darkwa.

was nice in his breakout game, but since then he has been very average, like the rest of the RBs because they don't have holes to run through. I don't think giving the majority of carries to Darkwa will make the Giants an effective running team. i just don't think running is a priority and they also can't execute.

that the running back by committee was purposeful in keeping bodies healthy/fresh for the whole season.

I don't think the mix has been awful, but agree with some of the thoughts above and would like to see a bit more of Williams on the sideline in favor of the other 3.

Anyone notice if we are passing a decent percentage when Williams is on the field or do we telegraph run too much like last season?

Probably his pass blocking ability. I guess once he gets better with that, he'll be the starter.. But he should definitely be ahead of Williams
