NGT: Greg, you're awful quiet today...

Id like to thank the wahoo nation for their hospitality today in Charlottesville. #12inarow

actually guess that Greg is pretty pumped as London is going to be fired.
A lot of shit talking for a .500 team...

Congratulations, you have football. UVA has essentially everything else. And thanks for getting London fired, a win would have probably prolonged the agony.
I wouldn't call it shit talking

More like Greg bashing.

Celebrating eking out a narrow win over a terrible team, in a game in which you were outplayed? Clearly the hallmark of a powerhouse program. Congratulations. Now that football is done, enjoy all the other glories of Virginia Tech athletics, like those exciting losses to Alabama State.
Go Hokies!!!

Back to total irrelevance for Virginia Tech until another .500 football season starts next September.

But until then, enjoy the Quick Lane Bowl and Detroit.

When you beat your instate rival 12 years in a row

That's an achievement. If the Giants beat the Cowboys 12 times in a row no matter how bad they are your would be pumped too

is like the Philadelphia Eagles who keep beating the Giants with nothing to show for it. They share that same inferiority complex, as they represent a worse city, wear uglier colors, and both have the same empty trophy case. I guess the irrelevance in Virginia Tech sports makes them like all Philadelphia sports these days, but at least the Phillies snapped the drought a few years ago.

They let London resign rather than firing him. Somehow, that leaves me oddly dissatisfied. Oh well, still don't ever have to watch London throwing tantrums on the sideline as his team melts down ever again.

I think the resignation saved UVA about $500K ($2.7M negotiated buyout vs. the $3.2M he would have been owed with a straight firing).

I have no dog in any UVA/VT fight, but I do think that getting Justin Fuente (and doing so early) and keeping Foster is a very good result for VT as far as coaching searches go.
eh....time will tell on Fuente
Greg from LI : 11/30/2015 10:11 am : link
I remember when Al Golden was the hottest name in coaching for turning Temple into a winner.

And while they kept Bud, Tek also forced Fuente to keep Fredo Beamer, too, so there's that.

It's like a carousel

You pay the quarter, you get on the horse. It goes up and down and around. Circular. Circle. With the music. The flow… all good things.
