This is probably the biggest game for this team this late into the season since the 2012 Monday Night game vs the Redskins. Giants 5-5, Redskins 4-6. We got Kirk Cousins tomorrow and we just had one of the best Thanksgivings we could ask for, but tomorrow the Giants NEED to win to make things a bit more comfortable.
Coming off the bye, the Giants are hitting the road to Washington! You think we pound Kirk Cousins into the dirt? You see a close game? Through 10 games, the Giants and Redskins defense has given the same amount points. What about the Giants offensive line? How you think they're going to hold up vs the Washington defensive line?
By the way this feels like the longest BYE week break ever.
GO GIAnts!!!
[[[Yeah!!!!!]]
Other than that though, hopefully my prediction of the Pats game and a confirmed boost like 2007 comes true. If it does and by the looks of it we will be getting healthy over the next few weeks barring any more injuries we could make a run. Tomorrow game will tell us the mentality of this though
I think the Giants have the edge with talent and coaching and hell, they had an extra week to prepare for Jay freaking Gruden. They can match wits with Belichick, they had better school Gruden.
This^^^ is so patently incorrect it's laughable. It is strictly through the eyes of a fan (all of us) that "live or die" with each win or each loss that one could even dream up the idea that
Any reasonably objective view of the Giants under TC would observe that among the greatest attributes of TC coached teams is that emotionally, the team almost always comes to play with a good effort. The vicissitude described above is a fantasy engendered by our emotions not what actually happens game to game under TC. Typically the team is well prepared mentally and emotionally entering almost all games - and particularly crucial games like today's.
In fact I don't mean to pick on Shockwave and just singled out his post because I think it's well representative of "feelings" that we all get at times as fans, that simply don't reflect the truth of what we've seen from TC coached teams over the years.
Having made that point, my "feeling" about this game is nervousness about starting an OL that is minus our two best and most consistent OL players this year: Pugh and Richburg, vs a team with a pretty good pass rush. Someone else above mentioned Vereen, and my "feeling" is that Vereen will need to have a big game vs the 'Skins to keep our O humming with a lot of short completions that generate good YAC with Eli most likely looking to get the ball out of his hands even more quickly than typical so far this year. Vereen's running will be crucial too.
McAdoo will have a plan to counter the Giants' weakness up front on O minus Pugh and Richburg. Can we execute it? We need our receiving weapons to have sticky hands and some shake n bake in them today, as much as we ever have.
They've owned Washington lately, but losing to their bitch with the division there for the taking would fit this season's MO perfectly, unfortunately.
I think Odell has a game that reminds us what a freak he is, I think we win and Control the division. Our D needs to be strong up the middle.

But we'll probably get this:

I actually felt really confident before the last Dallas and Tampa Bay games. This one... not quite that confident. I wouldn't describe it as a negative feeling either though.
Let's Go Giants!

Thanks Matt!! Yes it's a guarantee now..Giant win! Whoop hooo!!!
But this is a different Giants team and hopefully will begin to win big games again.
I believe if they win today they start a run that gets them the NFC East title with 10 wins.
...Giants will show up; play hard; and be in it till the end.
But whether the end is a win or a loss is anyone's guess.
Given that this IS the Redskins entire season in front of their hometown fans, the edge has to go to them IMO.

New York Giants 21
