Absolutely NO REASON the Giants shouldn't go out and win

NYGmen58 : 11/29/2015 10:17 am
That's no disrespect to this Redskins team, which plays very well at home and should not be taken lightly but the Giants have the advantage at almost every position and coming off fresh a bye week.

I understand the injuries along the offensive line are a concern but shouldn't be too big of an issue. Jerry and Reynolds are both veterans and are well-prepared. Is it a dropoff from Pugh and Richburg? OF COURSE! Those are our two best offensive lineman but this is what football is about. This team has to pick it up and win a tough game on the road, regardless of who is playing. They have no choice otherwise.

ZERO excuses today!
In most cases, records don't mean all that much

when storied teams, playing in a rather storied division, square off..

Yes we should win, but like Army/Navy you just never know

No reason? What if the Giants offensive line can't handle the Skins up front?

Easy. Just swap Whitlock for the bad offensive linemen and problem solved!
did I miss the Giants being a juggernaut?

Agreed.

We should win this game. We're better.
First of division opponents most likely play close games
micky : 11/29/2015 10:43 am : link
esp. second meeting as they are well familar with each other.

Second, Pugh and Richburgh are huge (imo) loss to this line. Plus, some uncertainty of use of personnel on the line (ie schwartz at LG) imo.

this is really going to be tough to win, just based on injuries

Other than beating themselves which was pretty much the only way I see them losing, the Richburg and Pugh losses are huge

This setting ourselves up to accept losses more easily really makes for shitty pregame talk.
No disrespect to the Skins, but they have zero chance of winning?

This sounds like a reasonable statement to you?
Does every one here realize DC lost their LG and C as well?

Are you ready?
There are many reasons why the Giants could lose

I expect they will win but this post is silly.

It's an accurate statement. This isn't a cheer leading squad. There's nothing wrong with pointing out the Redskins D could dominate the LOS and possibly win the game. Looking at the match ups that's a very real possibility
These are exactly the kind of games
David B. : 11/29/2015 11:05 am : link
The Giants lose. Let's hope that trend ends.
I don't get the no excuses remarks
AP in Halfmoon : 11/29/2015 11:05 am : link
Just win, no excuses! is silly. They're a playing a NFL team on their home turf.
I agree
illmatic : 11/29/2015 11:08 am : link
with the OP. It's not like the Giants had to sign free agents off the street to use them as starters. These guys have been with the team all season, presumably waiting for their chance to step in and make their mark. Why are we making excuses for these guys? They aren't the worst backups in the league. We should expect them to perform. This is a battle for first place, a battle against a division rival in their house and to set yourself up to win the division. There is absolutely no excuse. They've beaten up on the Skins in recent years and this is not the game to relax on them. Aside from all of that, your main guys on the team should be able to step up in this game. There is no reason to lose this game and a couple guys on the OL won't be the only reason they lose, if it happens. The team has to play well overall and there's no reason not to with what's at stake.

so I can understand a little concern. The playoffs seem to be handed to us on a silver platter this year, but some of us still expect us to fumble it away somehow.

The battle at the LOS. I'm definitely atleast a little concerned about our OL situation. Our OL shitting the bed on offense and our DBs getting burned deep by DeSean are the two things that I worry about the most.

Really pumped for this game. I think we take care of business and look good doing it. I love the fact that it's a 1PM game. Let's get it.
Two weeks to prepare

all week and its going to be a playoff like atmosphere. Whoever withstands the first punch in the mouth, the first big mistake, is going to have the advantage.

on the road in a rivalry game, there is nothing easy about this, and if you think there is, please share whatever you are smoking so others may participate in your delusions
To me it's not about whether.....
Reb8thVA : 11/29/2015 12:37 pm : link
It will be an easy game or not.

The Giants need this game for the playoffs. a win allows them to continue to control their destiny. Good team wins this type of game. To me that is why the Giants SHOULD win this game.
Every week in the NFL,

LAXin : 11/29/2015 2:05 pm : link
What a fucking troll the OP is. There were half a dozen valid reasons the Giants could lose even before the game began and more guys got injured.

Claiming no reason not win a road game against a divisional opponent one game behind you in a playoff atmosphere, after witnessing the Giants's performance in the last 3 years?? This is as trolling as one can be.
