Bad feeling about this game

realgiants91 : 11/29/2015 10:19 am
When was the last time the Giants won an important game? Does anyone remember?
Week 3
Matt in SGS : 11/29/2015 10:21 am : link
against the Redskins which kept their season alive. Or the Tampa game after coming off the bad loss to Saints ahead of the Patriots matchup.

I think the Giants are going to take care of business today, fear not.
Do you need to bring back

the same exact "feelings" each week?

worried about
mdc1 : 11/29/2015 10:21 am : link
them coming out flat. You know the redskins are fired up...they could be in the division lead if they win I guess. Playing at home. I think defense and Eli/Beckham need to have a big day.
The nig and only real concern

I'd be concerned...

An important game?
Fanfrom76 : 11/29/2015 10:37 am : link
Every game is important. As a long time (i.e., old) fan, I want the Giants to win every game. Is this weeks game important? You bet it is. So are the next five.

Giants win today by seven points. Not to worry.
You are what your record says you are and all those cliches
j_rud : 11/29/2015 10:41 am : link
but this is a team that, for all its warts, was close/competitive in 9 of 10 contests this year. The offense is scoring points. Th defense is getting healthy and rounding into form. Not to mention the small fact that they're simply a better team than the Skins. And while Washington will be fired up and playing for its season do you think the opportunity this game represents is lost on the Giants? They're playing for a lot too, and they know it.

Many reasons for concern in this game.....
Simms11 : 11/29/2015 10:46 am : link
This is Washingtons season, they know it's a one game season, they are playing at home, where they're 4-1; winning 4 straight, Cousins turns into Johnny Unitas at home, our Oline is in shambles, we can't run the ball and can't defend the pass. This is not a good recipe for success today. I really hope I'm wrong and will gladly eat crow, however, this one has all the makings of a loss. Could be a very close game, however, if Washington gets momentum on their side, it could get ugly, especially up front!

If there was ever a year when things seem to be shaping up for a classic Eli lead Giants run towards a Super Bowl this would be it. Things just seem to be falling right around the league and division to where I can really see the possibility of this Giants team coming from almost out of it completely to winning a weak division and then putting it all together and peaking at just the right time for the playoffs.
we are going to lay the smackdown

It's a football game. More specifically, it is an NFC East division game and that means it will be a fight. Not sure how long you have been a Giants fan, but you should know that they don't do anything easily. Giants football is no place for delicate sensibilities!! That's why I don't go to the Game Threads anymore. Go Giants!!
I'm not sure why everyone is dumping on the original poster

Because he's in permanent negative mode, and that gets as old as the Pollyannas.
Offensive line is the major worry

Get the ball out quick

Hopefully Schwartz plays well at LG so we can run left

When protection is good, take the deep shots to Odell

Use Hakeem as a possession receiver

I don't like this one either. Something bothers me about this one. With NO veteran vocal leadership, I could see us coming out flat after not playing in 2 weeks.

But it's also a chance for some of our young talent to step up. Maybe Flowers?

the guy always seems to kill us. The TEs also seem to do well vs the Giants and Jordan Reed is healthy and a tough matchup for us.

The one thing about this matchup I like is keeping D Jax out of the game. DRC can keep up with him and I think the one thing Coughlin never wants to see again is that skinny punk running down the field with the ball
If the Giants deserve to be in the playoffs....
Reb8thVA : 11/29/2015 12:14 pm : link
They will win the games they need to. If they don't then they won't go to the playoffs. simple as that. enjoy the fact we control our own destiny. you can't ask for more than that
If we can't beat Cousins,
Doomster : 11/29/2015 12:19 pm : link
might as well start playing for a draft pick....

Yes that was reported after last Sunday's game but he practiced all week and is not on the injury report now.

And because he craps all over the team in the game threads. He is calling for a loss after the first running play that gets no gain.
I have a good feeling about this game
Milton : 11/29/2015 12:40 pm : link
Even with all our injuries, I still think we match up well against the Redskins. I think the Giants spend most of the game up by more than a TD.
If we play to our ability..
EricJ : 11/29/2015 12:45 pm : link
and the coaches do not go into a shell... then yes we can win

Again, with this fucking I Told You So bull shit.

It's one thing to be down on this team (I certainly am a lot lately), but you shouldn't thrive off them failing and living down to your expectations just so you can be right.

Normally I'd agree with you. But for a lot of tenured posters here
Jim in Hoboken : 11/29/2015 2:36 pm : link
it's blasphemous to lay even a little blame at Coughlin or Reese.

And they are ususally the ones doing the name calling.

Does it make them better fans simply because they are blind cheerleaders for the team?

Or should we just blame the refs for everything?

Yeah, because the Giants fanbase has such a history of staying away from the games when the team does poorly. We get it, you wallow in misery and can't wait to abandon the team. Thankfully history shows that you're part of an embarrassing minority.
This is like Mike Damone in Fast Times at Ridgemont High...

if you put the vibe out (bad feeling) to 10 million chicks (every week), eventually something's going to happen (blind squirrel finds a nut).
