Bring back Cooper Taylor just to sit him? WTF? I know that we've said Merriweather has been a pleasant surprise, but he still isn't playing all that well. At least give the kid a chance in a real game situation.
it is a great question who is the backup center today? I can't see any of the OL being able to play center.
It's gotta be Schwartz........right????
I don't think so. He has never played center and his height would seem to prevent limit his ability at center. Has Hart or Cleary been getting snaps at center in practice?
Jerry but if he falter,Deossie could fill in emergency.
Get used to Jerry Pugh may take awhile.
Reese= Jerrys biggest fan today,he really could have upgraded and decided Reynolds and Jerry were fine.
RE: Cooper Taylor was brought back out of desperation not merit Â
The last thing we want to see his him on the field.
There isn't a LB on this team that can cover though. Casillas might be the best, Unga is brutal, Thomas, Kennard, all below average, we know Herzlich and I don't think it's Brinkley's strong suit either. If Taylor was activated out of desperation I cannot imagine a more desperate situation.

I hear this daily. In today's NFL, name more than 5 LBs that can actually cover?

any TE making a catch on a LB means that LB can't cover around here
I'm not sure that we've seen enough of Taylor in real game situation Â
To say he sucks. Most people talked about how he had that "deer in a headlight" look when he was brought in for a short spell, and that's about all we know for his game time action. At one point during preseason last year, he was seen as potential future at the position until injury sidelined him, so he has the capability. So is it that the just is having hard time grasping Spag's system? Is that why a career journeyman, Dahl, is playing so much...because he was on Spag's other subpar defenses?

Depends how wide open the TE or RB is, but if the LB is assigned to cover the TE or RB and that guy (not once, but continually) makes catches in wide open space, then yes it's a fair statement. Not sure why it has to be contentious. it's a fact.

I'm not a particular Taylor fan but the "deer in the headlights" thing is urban legend. The camera showed the side of his helmet and a glimpse of profile for a couple of seconds max. You'd have to be Madam Marie clairvoyant to get anything from that. Then he was on the field for six snaps and the ball never went in his direction.
That was in the Eagles game when Meriweather got dinged near end of first half. That is Taylor's entire regular season of defensive snaps.

I'm not a league wide expert, but the ones I know are Kuechly and Davis on CAR, Lee on DAL, KJ Wright on SEA, Trevathan on DEN. Jamie Collins on NE - that's 6 off the top of my head, I think there are a lot more. a lot of it is scheme/zone I'm sure, since no LB is covering Gronkowski, Graham, Sproles etc. in man coverage, but failing to acknowledge the Giants LBers are coverage liabilities seems stubborn and silly. Especially when we all watched Unga the first half season and then Beason. they were brutal.
not even including guys

should say: not even including guys I don't know about
Cursed, no. In Coughlin's doghouse, yeah. That's the only explanation because he's got alot more talent and speed than Dahl and Meriweather and it's not even close.
Hakeem Nicks
I guess if need be, Schwartz would move over to C
Numbers game. Can only activate so many players.
It's gotta be Schwartz........right????

weird. I wonder if they expect the Redskins to try and run a lot.

Really surprised Davis isn't active, given his ST ability. Nicks may well have gotten his position, even though he's been here less than two weeks.
I know Taylor hasn't done anything, but he still has ST ability.
Hart has to be active since we are down two OL.
Hughes is active. Wonder if he'll get some snaps.
+ 4 takeaways.

that's what I was thinking. They played Schwartz, I believe, during preseason all along the line including C

JPP happened to Selvie.
A Safety with even a shred of ability should be able to dress for this particular team...
You would only be pissing of Cooper's family.
