I just watched the ESPN segment on Rashaad Jennings and his upbringing and relationship with his Dad. Very inspiring story, and I am most impressed with the integrity of Jennings and his overall family bond. It certainly puts the game in perspective.
For those that didn't see it, his Dad lost both legs to diabetes, and Jennings transferred from Pitt to a local small college to be close to his Dad. He put his dreams of playing in the NFL at risk, but didn't think twice of moving close to home while in college. His Dad subsequently had a stroke and can not travel to see his son play, but hopes to in the future.
Very touching story. My wife and Son and I watched it together, and shed a tear or 3 in the process.
Go Giants...
