Odell Beckham Jr.

Dude is amazing. If he stays healthy....

I feel like I'm watching a guy I'm going to tell my grandchildren about.
Completely agree

My kid's eyes nearly popped out of his head after seeing that catch.

The Giants have about 5 years of Eli left, They need to get more weapons to pair with OBJ and apparently more OL. I'm not worried about the TEs in the pass catching department. I like Tye and Cunningham just fine.

Today hurts, but we are not quite dead yet.
It's sad
Kuhn and Friends : 11/29/2015 5:03 pm : link
that around him and Eli (in his prime, no less) we have pure shit and embarrassment in abundance.
The sad truth about receivers is
ZGiants98 : 11/29/2015 5:06 pm : link
Beckam's shelf life is probably less than Eli's. We probably see a couple years of this level of play tops.
The Giants need anybody
Patrick77 : 11/29/2015 5:07 pm : link
Even average players at every other skill position would make this offense incredible.

Imagine if Cruz had stayed healty? Those two with Vereen out of the backfield? That's a massive improvement over what the Giants currently have.
For most of today's game,
CT Charlie : 11/29/2015 5:08 pm : link
if Eli had had 1 more second of protection, he would have had a much easier throw. The absence of Pugh and Richberg was huge.

The Giants poor luck with WRs - Steve Smith, Hakim Nicks, Victor Cruz - isn't representative. Good WRs are often good until 30 or so.

There have been some guys with longevity, it's not totally out of the question. The Giants have been unfortunate with Nicks and Cruz but that doesn't mean Beckham is destined the same fate.

Agree in any case, he's a once in a generation talent. Johnston called it very well: "Eli Manning put the ball where only Odell Beckham Jr could get it-and I do mean *only* Odell Beckham Jr.".
he's a freak
OBJ_AllDay : 11/29/2015 5:14 pm : link
too bad that because of the mash unit o line he might not do much the rest of the way
Cruz and David Wilson?

(shakes head, talks outloud to Lady Luck.)
When you consider the beating he took from the late hits (uncalled),

brutal facemask, and horse collar penalty, his ability to come through in the clutch is truly exceptional.

Maybe Julio Jones and DeAndre Hopkins make that catch... that's it.

I'd throw Antonio Brown in there too.

bag...he's a stellar talent, but we're not winning games.

They threw the ball to him 18 times today...he caught half those passes.

The one-handed highlights are amazing, and we'd be really pathetic without him, but we need some W's.

Nine incompletions to any wide receiver in a game is devastating to any offense.
You would have 0 wins without

OBJ and or Eli

Yes we do, and I think he'd say the same.

Going to need to do better than 33yds rushing to get some wins. I don't care what the new school says. Balance is needed. No one respects the Giants run game.
he is an unbelievable player
Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 11/29/2015 7:26 pm : link
but unless you're a QB, one player is not going to transform a team from mediocre to great by himself.

Today's loss was a bad ending to the extended weekend, but Beckham was definitely the one bright spot in the loss. He is such a fantastic talent and it's amazing how he just continues to make a large impact despite having such poor offensive support around him.

You could argue Antonio or Julio are better. Maybe a couple of others. But he's right there at the very top and is younger than everyone else at that level. Special player.
Here is the scary thing and it says a lot about our roster
EricJ : 11/29/2015 7:30 pm : link
if you remove OBJ, do we even have 3 wins this year? What does this offense look like without him?

We are one injury from OBJ away from being the worst team in the NFL
Eli forced a lot of throws to him today too
Simms11 : 11/29/2015 9:12 pm : link
and that is another reason he didn't catch all of them. Eli has confidence in him to make plays, wouldn't you?

Odell is not the reason we lost today and is the only reason we had a chance at the end
Of the 9 that he didn't catch, how many were drops?
