Alright today was my niece's first ever live Giants game, and we come out looking like dogsh*t AFTER the bye, against the freaking Redskins with pretty much the season on the line. I'm sure this is going to come off as annoying and bitchy, and I rarely just vent on BBI like this, but...this is one of the most frustrating Giants teams I've seen in a LONG time, and how we let this one get away from us is beyond me. I'm livid. So if you're already sick of what I'm saying here, please feel free to move on to another thread because it's just ranty. Sorry about that, but feel free to rant on this thread if you want to as well!
I can usually take losses pretty well, but this one's giving me a massive headache.
My main questions:
-What in the hell did the coaches see from Schwartz that made it seem like a good idea to move him to LG? He never had one good play there, and always ends up getting hurt in the games where he's on the left side! Pretty sure he was playing on the right side when he got his injury, but still: he could never play there and Jerry has played there in the past. I'd be curious to hear why that seemed like the way to go. He sucked phenomenally today. So did Newhouse. The Game Brown Paper Bag of Shame goes to our offensive line.
-Also, what the hell kind of game plan was that, offensively speaking? SCREW THE RUN when your line is in that kind of shape. We have an average [at best] running game with a mostly HEALTHY offensive line. Why not dedicate two guys to blocking Kerrigan and pass, pass, pass, and pass some more. Our two scoring drives all but abandoned the run, if I recall correctly.
-That last key 3rd down to Reed. Dahl had no help. Seemed obvious that Reed was going to be a primary target; why was Dahl left alone to cover him, especially after Reed kicked our ass the whole game? For once in our lives, why couldn't we just neutralize a freaking TE?

-Odell Beckham Junior. I'LL HAVE YOUR BABY ANYWAY. AND I'M A HETERO MALE.
-Eli Manning. I'M IN THE 'YOU DESERVE BETTER' CAMP.
-Giants Medical Staff. I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO PIN SOME BLAME ON YOU, BUT THIS IS SOMEHOW YOUR FAULT, TOO.
-Tom Coughlin. THIS TEAM IS BUILT FOR PASSING FIRST, RUNNING SECOND. WHY CAN'T YOU ACCEPT THAT?!
Seriously. The Redskins, and for all the marbles. This one hurt the most, more than even the first game, because this game brings every near miss to the forefront. How we managed to perform so terribly....I don't get it.
