God this place is tough to come to after a loss.

Shadow : 11/29/2015 6:43 pm
We are still in first place. We still have 5 games to play and if we can not take advantage of that, then we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.
But Jesus some of you guys just come here to bitch.
Please grow a pair it's what the Game
Its just sometimes you crap out!
Bury it and let's get ready for the Jets!

Worse than Eagles fans after a loss.
Today was better than I expected it to be

Coming back home after a loss, this place is usually a cesspool of negativity. Today, people are grumpy, but it's not super toxic.
We are not in first

Past few year the Giants have come up small in big games.
Should we be cheering?

Sry, but when some people have this "hey, good try, well get them tomorrow" when the team is sub .500 I question if you have more issues than the people complaining.
Not

Tomorrrow we will have one of those "loses dont bother as much as they used to now that Im older and have a family etc" threads and then we will all be fine.
Does it make us less of a fan to be pissed at a shitty effort?

When we cant run on one of the worst run defenses in the league are we supposed to pretend to be ignorant and say 'ra ra, go team you'll get 'em next week?'

Washington showed up to play big boy football and we got our ass kicked. With the fucking division on the line here.

I'm tired of people complaining when we get upset by a team that disappoints us for year after year. We aren't stupid. We know a quality product and we know when we don't have it.

And let's not forget the NFC East might be the worst it has ever been and we can't show up and take care of business. But again, should we be smiling and bucking ourselves up?
The Redskins were lucky that those two deflected passes

went right to a Redskin.

We had luck with turnovers in the previous ten weeks. So some of it came back on us.

I'm numb because this teams continues to play dumb.

Plays that a pro team should make they don't.
I didn't get to watch the whole game
Rjanyg : 11/29/2015 7:36 pm : link
In fact I was bringing my son back to college and was DVRing the game. Then my son looked at his iPhone and said they are losing. So, we turned on the game and saw that it was 10-0. Then the 4th and goal play happened and I knew it was over. That was less of a TD than the OBJ non catch vs. NE.

This is what this season had come to. Losing games by a pubic hair. Gut wrenching loses with poor clock management. The NFL is a shit show with all they injuries and close games being decided by shitty refereeing.

Imagine if we had a pass rush or a run game? Or both. This season would be much different and we could possibly not have to Win or lose games in the last 2 minutes each week.

This team is flawed and it has been proven again today. We have a better than good QB, a great young receiver, a probowl Center and a decent young Left Tackle. Everything else is a question mark.

I have been a fan since 1976 and love my Giants. I will not lose hope but I also will not kid myself that this is a playoff team. I just pray Eli and OBJ stay healthy this year and maybe next season will be a better year.

That may be true, but for those of us looking for a sign that this team is progressing, learning, and getting better, we didn't see one. In fact we got the opposite.
difference between a cake walk
bc4life : 11/29/2015 7:48 pm : link
and players making stupid mistakes - letting Jackson get deep, tipped passes, Newhouse saving his worst play for the biggest game, drive killing penalties. The inconsistent play, dumb mistakes...and no end in sight.
At the end of the 2013 NFL season the Giants hit the reset button
Shadow : 11/29/2015 7:59 pm : link
The difference was that instead of replacing the coach and the quarterback like teams do when they are rebuilding the Giants build around those.

This is the second year of the Mac Adoo offense a completely new offense this is the second year the quarterback is running it

This is the first year of a new defense

This is a rebuilding year this is not our window our window begins next year and the year after that's when we should be challenging for the next Super Bowl.

This year the Cowboys in the Eagles both hit the skids. They were the favorites to win the NFC East Napa Giants.

We are in this because those teams faltered and it gives us the chance even though we are a Not rebuilt yet an opportunity to get to the playoffs.

Whether we like it or not this is a rebuild year and Mara has a plan that he's follow it

RE: the new defense. One of the most complicated schemes in the league - lack of talent, tons of injuries, no depth, and questionable ability of JR to bring in the necessary talent. On, and now with the new CBA - limited practice time.

Yet again, it's obvious you haven't heard one Mara interview. In case you're too busy preaching how others should or shouldn't cheer he did put them all on warning. That's a far cry from what you're posting as you're already on to the Jets apparently. Want tickets?

This team needs an outstanding offseason. They have critical decisions to be made on Beatty, Cruz, Beason, Amukamara, JPP, Schwartz, Jennings, Randle. They have a bunch of money but a underwhelming roster.

We don't know how this will shake out but they have lost a bunch of games for a bunch of reasons. If we had a running game or a pass rush we would be a 8-3 team at worst.

It is not a given that Coughlin or Reese will be back.
All I will say is this...
LakeGeorgeGiant : 11/29/2015 8:23 pm : link
There are problems with this team that go back 4 years and don't seem to be improving.

Too many of these games where they come out completly flat and look overmatched.

Too many games given to our opponent in the 4th quarter.

Too long without a playoff appearance.

Something needs to change. What you see here is a sample of where Giants fans are at right now. Ownership must be aware that the fanbase is restless. I don't see how big changes aren't made this offseason.

But I said that last year..
This was the plan
Shadow : 11/29/2015 8:23 pm : link
QB Eli
RB Jennings Vereen Williams
WRS OBJ Cruz Harris Randle Parker Soup
Oline Beatty Pugh Richburg Schwarts Flowers
TE Donell Fells

JPP Hankins Jenkins Moore Ayers
Beason Thomas Kennard Castillas
DRC Prince Mcbride Hosley Collins Berhe Williams Thompson Taylor

That's what Reese was looking at
Then it all hit the fan.
Which brings us to the next problem..
LakeGeorgeGiant : 11/29/2015 8:27 pm : link
Why are we perennially among the most-injured teams in the league?
Reese wanted McCourty
Shadow : 11/29/2015 8:38 pm : link
But got out bid. Antrell Rolle was done.
They liked Berhe and the CB from ND converting to FS
Our biggest problem is we don't have a FS on the roster.

Spot on. Tough to just ignore the injuries but it's the same story, the same holes, the same excuses, etc. Do we really think signing a bunch of free agents is the answer? That never works and the team just doesn't have enough draft choices to fill all the holes. Not to mention, the main reason the team has so much cap space is b/c none of the draft choices have made enough of an impact to warrant large contracts.

21-30
GiantsGorilla1980s : 11/29/2015 9:38 pm : link
Since the second half of 2012 But let's remain positive about a lousy 5-6 team that can't even take advantage of awful division,
Injuries crippling us...losses mounting...opportunities squandered...
Torrag : 11/30/2015 12:32 am : link
Even if we manage to slink into the playoffs in an embarrassing NFC Conference this team isn't making a run. That's the reality of the situation. Noone is happy about it but trying to put lipstick on the pig that is our season is pointless.

It is becoming easier and easier for me to not care about football.

This is the first season where i am struggling to enjoy it but i can't seem to. Obviously the giants being pretty awful makes that worse but the officiating, the amount of commercials, the injuries, the criminals making millions that are still in NFL, the scandals ( PATS ) lol.

Its just not as fun as it used to be that's for sure.

If i had to pick one thing thast really wears me down, its injuries, across the league its ridiculous.
Even if Giants did manage to get back & win, hard to ignore the issues
GloryDayz : 11/30/2015 1:52 am : link
This was a huge game for the Giants, and they come out flat and seemingly unprepared... is it coaching or is it bad player leadership/locker room culture. And this is no isolated incident, seen it too many times.

Injuries have taken their toll no doubt, but are we supposed to believe its just bad luck 3-4 years in a row the team is leading the league (or at least way up there near the top) in injuries?

Apparent lack of talent... is there a problem with the scouting department? Is it JR? Are coaches misusing talent or at least not maximizing it? Been the case for 3-4 years, and still we head of into the off season with as many needs as the year before.

Questionable coaching decision, specially late in the game again yesterday. It was a "small" mistake in the an overall bad game, but HTF does Harris field that last punt? Did nobody tell him not to field it inside the 5? Cost us a bit of time and 25 yards which took away Giants chance to even attempt a hailmary. Whats worse he fielded another punt near the 5 earlier in the game and ended up at the 8 or 9 yard line.
the Giants are really to be commended for playing in a shitty

Face it. This team sucks
giantsfan227B : 11/30/2015 9:32 am : link
In previous years after 11 games if we had 5 wins this place would be going nuts, especially after the type of losses they have suffered. Just because they are tied for first place in what could be the worst division in the NFL should not sugar coat the fact that they are not a good team. Could they be worse? Sure. But think about this. The Cowboys lost their QB for 7 games, lost all 7 and are only 2 games behind the Giants. There is an actual possibility (although slight) they finish ahead of the Giants.

How is that possible? The Giants suck. Yes they can still make the playoffs but does anyone think these are the 2007 or 2011 Giants? Those teams had a good D. They had a running game. They had more than 1 WR. The Giants woulda coulda shoulda shows they are a bad team. Good teams win at least a few of those games. The Giants lost all of them.

I don"t see the Giants running the table. And I don't see the Giants getting in and making a run. If they get in amazingly they could host a game but unless it is Atlanta or Tampa don't see them going anywhere.

This is the biggest problem that has to be dealt with this offseason imo.

But what is the cause? Medical staff? Strength and conditioning?
