With them, our run game would have been marginally better, and on passing plays Eli would have had an extra 1-2 seconds in the pocket, more than enough time for all of our guys - OBJ, RR, Harris, Tye, Cunningham, Vereen - to get more separation. We could have kept Washington off-balance with screen passes.
The D would have had more rest (we got crushed in time of possession, 36:00 to 24:00), and we would have sacked Cousins a couple of times.
TOP was brutal.
I was waiting for us to get at least on INT or Fumble recovery
They protected the ball well
so if you have a bad OL entering the game... doesn't it make sense to be less predictable?... to REALLY emphasize your short passing game in early downs... to spread them out more? but nope... we made sure AW44 got his carries... nobody new a run was coming there... got into a ton of 2nd and 9s... and remained entirely passive and predictable... playing RIGHT into the Redskins hands... until the last 20 minutes... when we got a bit more creative.
Very disappointing attempt to cover up an undermanned OL... sorry basically no attempt
Vereen drops a ball into arms of defender for pick 2.
Randle gets lazy and doesn't cut off the defender to get the pass and we have pic 3. and that could have been a TD.
WHat pisses me off ? How the hell do you not come ready to play this BIG game so important blah blah after 2 weeks to prepare and we get that ? as fans ?
I blame coughlin for not having these guys focused... how the hell do we do this all the time ?
Playing to level of competition.
It's a game of inches and angles and timing and it wasn't flowing for the overwhelming majority of the game
We need to get Pugh and Richburg healthy, but I think the team had a gutty effort today, particularly in the 4th quarter, considering how banged up our OL was.
