Rangers lose three in a row. And just as my Fighting Irish were about to take down Stanford a facemask penalty gives Stanford the push they needed to enable them to get to within field goal range.
I figured at least one of these games would put a smile on face and it came down to the Gaints as my last hope. Zero for five. I could live with the Rangers because it's a long season and ups and down are inevitable. And while I'm a huge Notre Dame fan its college and it doesn't hold nearly the impact on my desire if they lose.
As for the Giants. The state of affairs with this team is five years running now. I Just wish they would be either a good team or really bad team anymore. I think that it would be so much easier to resolve in my mind and psyche as a fan.
Talk about wasting a guys prime years in Eli when you put a .500 or less team on the field week in and week out. Is it the coaching, the talent or both. I think it's probably a lot of both. How in the world with so much to play for do you come out and play like dogs mostly on offense which was supposed to be the strongest unit given the nature of the defense who I thought played very well.
And to make things worse all world wide out ODB jr. calls out his team for not having enough fight. Keep this shit up and when he's a free agent He may want to go as far away from the Gaints as he can get. And that would be a hard pill to swallow. The guy is so good. The Giants better not fuck that up too.
and the D needed to make one 3rd down stop with 4 minutes to go and down by 6 and they failed yet again. This team is done, they'll finish 7-9, maybe 8-8 and will have all winter to sit around and wonder how they fucked this up.
Every burgundy and gold fan is walking around like they have won the Super Bowl. I guess if the Giants had been a joke like they have been for the past twenty years maybe I would be just as excited.
I do believe that we will end up with the playoff spot and not them but to think we will be rooting for the Cowgirls this week is tough to handle.
because if we lose to the Jets at home, the season is all but essentially over with games against Carolina, Vikes and Eagles looming.
Simms - as I mentioned in my other thread, this happens and I won't be able to openly root for the Giants for a minimum of 4 years. My Jet fan family basically are licking their chops. I will be bitching on here a lot this week.

Make sure to remind them that the last time the Jets beat the Giants Bill Clinton wasn't even President, YET.

DJM - I am hoping the football Gods will be nice to me like they were in 2011. They are season ticket holders and brought me to the game in 2011. They were relatively respectful. The 2 guys behind me...not so much.
Also thankful for NFL Radio where I can still listen to sports radio without the constant reminder of yesterday's debacle.
I love living in the DC area, but I don't think I would enjoy it as much if the DC Football Club was a competent franchise. Actually, I'm pretty certain I wouldn't. The past 23 seasons of failure starting with Petitbon's 3-13 season in 1992 have been wonderful. I don't ever want to see them sniff a Super Bowl. I am not as rabid against Philly and Dallas, but I'm sure I would be if I lived in one of those areas.
Oh, I'm going to be in a great mood today...

Spot on Jints but we have to remember how many years we have been on the winning side.
