What were your thoughts on Bromley this season?

superspynyg : 1/28/2016 10:00 am
He was able to play the whole season. Did he show your any thing that might make you think that he could be a solid starting DT for us next year? Or is he just a rotational guy and we could look FA or the draft for a starting DT next to Hankins.

Headhunter lmao

Yea, right lets blame the fans now. Too funny. Right up there w blaming the fact he didnt get 2 play next 2 hankins. Is it too much to ask that he's a good player all by himself??

Bromley couldnt beat out Kuhn, gets bowled over by the run + no pass rush but other than that, yea, he's great

If hes improved, hes improved to being a complete nothing with no redeemable qualities. Need some players in here who at least do something well/bring something to the table

Who was he going to learn anything from to improve Jenkens maybe but no one else. I can't explain how it took almost every DT to get hurt before he was given an real time plus he was playing the same spot as Hankins unbelievable.
Off course fans are the driving force between who stays
Headhunter : 1/28/2016 6:21 pm : link
and who goes. If that wasn't true, what would the purpose of BBI be? It and other sites give the powers to be direction and input on personnel. I mean if the millions of words written by fans had no impact, this whole exercise of taking time to post here day after day after day would be pointless and meaningless( the site owner gets paid so he don't count)
Of course

"Why can't the Giants develop players"? The answer is because a portion of their moronic fan base doesnt have the patience, either they are a star like OBJ or they are a bust" So I would say fan pressure. Next season OO, they have their sights on you!

Next season? Some of these doors are calling Owa a bust already.
He had his ups and downs
David in LA : 1/28/2016 6:25 pm : link
but he needs one more year in the weight room this offseason.
Haven't noticed him,
giantgiantfan : 1/28/2016 6:39 pm : link
but while I'm more than a casual fan I don't focus on guys all that often or rewatch games to isolate a player.

I'm definitely rooting for him though! No hate for him.

19 tackles and 17 assists in 2015, and that's accomplished during spot duty for most of the year on an undermanned line. That's far from nothing.
Not really good
Glover : 1/28/2016 7:21 pm : link
but should have been starting over Kuhn. He's a keeper, big guy, occasionally makes plays. Good back up.

and what did Kuhn do? Nothing but get blocked. He did nothing to deserve to be entrenched as the starter.

Ummm, no, I didn't say anything like that. Get the fucking quotes right, at least, huh?
I always felt that Kuhn getting meaningful snaps
David in LA : 1/28/2016 8:36 pm : link
was an indictment on either TC or Spags. Both were extremely vocal supporters of his for some reason. I know I'm certainly no expert on DL play, but I know guys aren't supposed to get their shoulders twisted sideways and pushed back a few yards on a routine basis.

for play time........what else is there to say?

That was a coaching decision. Whenever Bromley was in, he out-performed Kuhn.

So what you're saying is that the coaches intentionally sabotaged the team?

If that's what you think I said, good luck with that.

Well maybe you should learn how to communicate better?

Funny, coming from a functional illiterate.
Flashes
Rong5611 : 1/29/2016 7:16 am : link
I think he's a solid, rotational guy. He flashed. Needs more playing time. Kuhn needs less.
Not the future starting DT you hoped for at this point
The Tempest : 1/29/2016 10:40 am : link
Couldn't beat out Kuhn but hey at least he has already played more than Austin. I'm hoping with a new defensive line coach we will get more out of the players. Linval Joseph making the leap from a starter to a probowl caliber starter happened because of better coaching.

I think I'm functioning just fine old man, I'm not the one in adult diapers.
I don't even want to argue with you, it will waste what little you have left on this Earth.

Analizing past drafts
hotrod48 : 1/29/2016 5:17 pm : link
Give me a break. What good can come from showing off how well you can use hind sight. I laugh when someone says that a player drafted in round 3 was a reach because some idiot like MK.jr says that he should not have been picked until round 4 or 5. If MKjr ever landed a job as a GM he wouldn`t last 2 yrs. I have faith in Jerry Reese as a GM mostly because the ownership of the Giants think he is good enough. I am sure that any ,so called bad draft picks , were a organizational decision not the work of one man. I am pleased that we have a new strength coach who maybe able to solve the injury woes that have plagued our team for the last few years.

Immaturity
Bromley didn't stand out good or bad to me.
Jimmy Googs : 1/29/2016 5:39 pm : link
But we are clearly looking for players to provide an impact some way no matter the position.

Bromley may not be that guy and could jsut be the #3 or #4 rotational tackle on the roster.
Bromley made big strides in his development this season
Torrag : 1/29/2016 9:08 pm : link
When Hankins went down I was dreading the deterioration of our interior run defense. It didn't happen. He took on the load and got it done. In year three I hope we'll see him tap into his pass rush potential.

Well, apparently a lot based on what happened after your early comment. I think I saw a 12-"Re" post in there. Most of it was in the usual know-it-all psychotic landscape - never reflecting reality too closely - that prevails with a few exceptions in The Corner Forum.
